Recommended Conversion Tracking Software?

Hey David:

ST looks interesting for a low one-time fee. The only issue is the entry of sales info. It looks like this has to be entered per sale.

Is there a spreadsheet interface that allows downloading of sales info from Google, Yahoo, and MSN in a batch mode? This would certainly be faster.

Also, is there a way to track info at the Campaign and Ad levels as well?

Just an update for anyone who wants to test Long Tail Magic for 3 days (Free).

I just made an update and am letting potential buyers try it for 3 days on my server. So all you need to do is, create your account, create your campaign, get the code and paste it on your page and start seeing results.

The support for Adtrackz doesn't exist. If you are thinking of buying this software, just cross your fingers and hope it works.

Actually you can use Tracking202 (service) and Prosper202 (self-hosted) to track your sales as a vendor.

They include a tracking pixel which you would put on your thank you page and use that to track your conversions.

The only downside is that the tracking pixel isn't 100% accurate, sometimes you might get a false positive. But it is a good solution if you don't want to invest before you get know tracking better.

Also they are mianly designed for PPC >>> CPA which the OP wanted something more than for just PPC. You can use these to track just about any web link. So if you want to track Squidoo pages, articles, banners, etc... You can use these to do it.

Another alternative would be Affiliate Prophet. It also has a tracking pixel, it can do both organic and paid search and has a cool time on page feature (AIDA) which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action that provides an indicator of how well you your landing pages, sales pages, and presell pages are doing on a per keyword or referrer basis.

There is a split testing function that does a good job of making sure the same visitor sees the same page every time, important to ensure good data. It's designed more for PPC use.

In order to use the multi-page feature you'll need to purchase the OTO which includes the means to do organic and PPC on every page on your site with one tracking code.

The OTO also includes a taguchi / multi-variate testing feature.

Another cool feature is you can track three different conversions with one tracking code.

So for a product owner it provides a nice toolset for really taking a good look at your entire sales process.

It's good for affiliates too, especially if you sell clickbank products. I wouldn't recommend it for CPA tracking.

I actually use both Prosper202 and Affiliate Prophet for tracking.

You can do some really cool stuff with both products combined.
