Website Traffic Analysis

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi

Im trying to find some good services online on how to find out information about other websites.

I know of ALEXA but im not to sure as how to read it. And im pretty sure its not that accurate.

Then i found a site called statbrain, but im also not sure if that site is accurate at all, in fact i couldnt even understand how they got their numbers.

Does anyone know of a good free online service where i can punch a website in and get some good information back. Im mainly looking for, source of traffic, unique vistors per day, week, month and amount of backlinks.

  Exactly there is no tool which can give you accurate numbers about the website traffic for which you are looking. The only toll which can provide the accurate information about the website traffic is Google Analytic but for that the website should added to the your analytic account and you have access for that. You also need website access to put the analytic tracking code into the header of the website.

  There MUST be a tool that does it. How do IMers and even more so, large companies check out their competition?

  A great resource for this is Compete | Compete
  there you can compare sites to each other and see what they are ranking for
  and how much traffic they bring in from certain key phrases.

I have figure out your problem. try to find out good business directory for the region that you want to target. you can also use some kind of local search engine that gives information about local business to specific region ......

  Nah i mean like specific website traffic information. Like you would get with analytics for your very own website. Surely there is software out there which allows you to leach the info.

Hi there,

Compete.com is a good one.You can even compare website satistics for free!Offcourse they have the paid version which will give you advanced info but free does quite fine!
