Site on 1 page of G, but Traffic NOT Converting, What should I do?

Hello warriors,

I have a niche site that is currently at #7 on Google, i have been checking the stats and see that it gets between 20-25 visits and 30 pageviews a day.
This niche is the "cold sore" niche.

My only monetize method is Adsense. Obviously I have no clicks. It's been about 2 weeks that I've been getting this kind of traffic for the search term.

Could it be that it is just not a "buying keyword"? I mean cuz the ads are very targeted to the niche.

Should I try clickbank instead? I've never used clickbank or written reviews for CB products.

Just wondering if you all have any ideas or how to convert the traffic into something.

Or do you all think I should just give up on the site? Flippa maybe?

Just don't want to push the site up to #1 and realize that it was just a waste of time.

Please Help.

    It could be your ad placement... where do you have the ads on your site? sidebar? wrapped in text? banner at top?

      The ads are wrapped in the text above the fold. Those are the only ads i have.

      Luckily I found an exact match domain with good search count. Actually, I first found it before Google up dated their keyword tool. So initially according to the Keyword tool it was getting 6000-8000 searches/month. I was excited about this because the .org extension was available.

      However as soon as the update on the keyword tool happened, the stats dropped to 2400 searches a month, which is still pretty good but a huge difference from 8000 searches.

      It took me about 2 weeks to get it to page 1, when it first got indexed it was on page 2. I used ezinearticles to get it indexed then I threw a few profile backlinks to it. It's only a 5 page minisite.
