Hey,

My son got married a few weeks ago.
The bad news is the wedding was 1300 miles
away from his family.

My wife and I were in the wedding so we
couldn't take pictures.

Is there a way to set up a Facebook page
that would allow others that were at the wedding
that took pictures to post them to that page?

This would let everybody that wasn't there see the pics.
I understand that everybody would need a FB account.

Thanks

Facebook fan pages are accessible on the web, you don't need to log in.
I've never set one up but I'm sure someone else on here could tell you exactly how to do this.

Another option is a simple Wordpress site. A lot of folks on here could throw together a site with a bunch of pictures real quick for you or help you get that set up.

Biggest thing is regarding security. If you don't care if the world sees the pictures then pretty much anything would work, but if you want a login that would be a bit trickier.

We have facility in facebook that we can create a fan page in that or invite people to join the page but the problem is they can't have the access that they can post images at your page because you have the user name and password for that. They just can join and post the images only in their account nit in your. One way that we can do is that we can create a blog in facebook and invite people to write or post images in its wall and you can share these images to all the people who will joined the blog.

I'll check out the blog aspect. I am looking for a way
that everybody can post images in one location.

I know FB has, Fan, Community, and Group pages.
I was wondering about allowing everyone to post pics
      of the wedding.

I can set up a wordpress site, the problem is my
relatives would have no idea how to post the pics.

That's whats so nice about FB they are all on it
and posting pictures is so easy.

    Blase,

You can create the fan page then just set the settings so anyone can add pictures to the page, not just admins and you should be fine. Worst case scenario, once people become fans, just make them admins with one click and they have full access to do whatever they want on the page. You would just need to make sure that all the people get invited to the page to know about it first.

Thanks, I did a little digging after I created the page
and saw where you can control who can post what.

      Thanks again
