Anyone using SOBI2?
Question for any of you developing on the Joomla! platform.
In the past, I have used jReviews for placing "advertising" content, such as products, services, and locations. For those who do not know, this is a component that creates a review of something, and allows indexing through different categories and display through a variety of module placements and on the main directory page.
However, it has gotten ridiculously expensive and a server load hog. I am looking at SOBI2 as an alternative. It pretty much will do the same thing, albeit with a lot more time involved for customization. I particularly like the scroller modules which will display any number of banner or box ads that lead back to the item description page.
Is anyone else using this application as a product directory, and what has been your experience with conversion?
