Anyone experienced with Wordpress MU?

I´m in the process of creating the graphics for a new website. The niche in which it is allows me to build multiple sites in sub-niches and I´m thinking Wordpress Multiple User might be what I´m looking for.

Does anyone around here currently use it? could you tell me roughly how useful is it to handle multiple websites? or perhaps a decent alternative?

Thanks in advance for your help

Wordpress MU is now part of regular Wordpress, but you still have to do a little coding work to set it up. ... It's now called "Network."

Get WordPress 3.0 and you can use one installation of
WordPress with plugins and themes installed in one place
      to manage multiple domains.

      It's a great time saver.

I learned how to do it quickly from Istvan Horvath
who knows WordPress inside and out.

He's got a great video series on how to do multi-sites
      at:

      Dream Tool Videos (no affil.)

Now, I just install and upgrade my plugins and themes
in one place and the changes get made across multiple
      domains automatically. Neat!

      Dedicated to your success,
