I highly recommend anything that Zeus presents, because I've used most of it. That particular product is probably exactly what you're looking for.

I have not purchased the Zeus product, but beyond personal coaching, it looks like the second best thing.

Full disclosure: John (Zeus) is a friend of mine.

Truth disclosure: John doesn't do anything halfway. If he offers a product, it's good.

So we like the Zeus product. Good. But, I (and other people) would like to see more, if that's cool.

      Cheers.

One more vote for John (Zeus66), I have bought a couple of his products on Article Marketing, very good stuff.

TimG provides some great info, too.

Other than that, I'd recommend you do this. Go to EzineArticles, find the category you are working in. Click on any article. Scroll down until you find the "most viewed" and "most published" sections. Look at the format and style of all the articles listed. It will give you a quick idea of what is working right now.

Thanks for all the votes, guys. At the risk of losing a sale, I'll recommend anything Tim Gorman puts out on the subject of article writing/marketing. I'm a fan and a customer.

Thank you, Zeus. Much appreciated. Do you have any articles similar to TimG's? And, does anyone else have any recommendations or advice for writing articles?

          Steve Wagenheim
Alexa Smith (don't think she runs any article marketing WSO but just read what she has to say. I have to agree to most of her post).

Now I have something to choose from. You guys rock ... Thank you very much.

I've inlcuded the responces in my first post for people who may be searching for similar advice in the future. (I'm pretty sure that's "OK" if not then let me know and I'll remove them.)

            Cheers,

    Hey ZigZag,

Steven is being pretty modest, you might want to take a quick look at his signature line. He belongs on that short list, too.

One thing I'd highly recommend you do, use the Advanced Search, choose the Search By User Name, then go through these names:

    TimG
    Zeus66
    Steven Wagenheim
    Dean Shainin

Take a look at some of their posts and you will quickly have a feel for each of them. I have not read much of Dean's stuff, so I cannot comment on him. But here's my comments on the others.

TimG - Complete - Thorough - Nuts and Bolts

Zeuss66 - Easy to read, great insights, sharp at giving ideas to reduce workload.

Steven Wagenheim - (only from posts and RSS feed) - Witty, In Your Face, Sharp as they come, straight to the point, get the job done, TEST, TEST, TEST.

Who would I trust for advice? All of them. The only reason I have not bought Steven's guide is my conscience (also called wife), who said quit buying WSO's and get back to work.

Your wife is very wise. At the risk of shooting myself in the foot, most
people, if they just hang around here long enough and read some of the
great threads contributed to by many, you probably don't have to buy
      much of anything.

I can count the number of IM related "info" products that I've purchased in
over 7 years of doing this on two hands...maybe.

I'm not a buyer. I don't need to be. I know what I know and I go out and
do it...which is what most people should be doing.

But sadly, too many are looking for that one magic bullet that's going to
      suddenly open up the sky.

Take it from me...it doesn't exist.

Hard work and testing is what will get you to where you need to be...not
a genie in a bottle solution.

My 2 cents on the subject.

Wise words. Every time I tried to find a magic bullet it only did one thing, blew up in my face.

Every time I get back to work, watch my analytics, and ramp up what is working, and reduce what is not working I find more success.

I don't think you are shooting yourself in the foot. While you can find almost everything you need to learn in forum posts, the great thing about an ebook from a trusted teacher is getting it all in one place where it is easy to access and understand.

The important thing is to stay focused on your plan and only buy items which are consistent with your plans. (Also, goes with who you follow online.) It is very easy to get distracted. If you are focusing on Article Marketing only get guides which support your efforts, focus on experts in the area, and avoid all the other pretty ideas for now.

The one thing I find most refreshing about Steven's advice is consistency on one topic TESTING! It is overlooked by many people and is one of the most crucial elements to increasing sales.

        .

Steve, those few sentences are worth gold to me. I make a full time income online nowadays because I took ACTION many moons ago.

no use floating around in the WAR ROOM and WSO trying to find the holy grail PPC, CPA, Facebook...those are just money spinners in my book! You need to find one thing and stick to it. If article marketing works, go with it and be the best you can be.

For me I stick to old fashion list building and membership sites. I make money even when on the toilet with these. No shiney objects for me. These are solid business building practices that will be around for the next 50 years....probably more....where I will be living on the moon by then with a robot wife serving me club sandwiches and refreshing alcoholic lime drinks cant wait

I shall cast one more vote for Zuess!

I purchased that product, and I agree that it is great. This product will tell you how to identify the purpose of your article, and then how to write your article so that it best accomplishes that purpose.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a product that tells you exactly how to write an article (in general), I would recommend the .357 Article Method by Caliban Darklock (CDarklock). I think everyone here will agree that CD is a great writer. His product breaks down the general writing process in a very procedural manner, and is very different from Zeuess's product.

Caliban Darklock has something called the .357 Article Method. It's good and it works. ;-)

I'm not sure where to get it, but CDarklock is his membername here on this forum. Look him up.

If you're interested in writing articles quickly, there is an ebook called 'How to Write an Article in 5 minutes'. I can't remember who the author is but it's a very very useful book for speeding up the speed you write articles.

It's unlikely that you'll actually write an article in 5 minutes of course (surely that's impossible!). At least I've never written one in anything close to 5 minutes, but this book helped me speed up a lot.

First off, when I made my previous suggestion I completely forgot that the .357 article method has been turned in to a free product. I really suggest you pick it up. I paid $27 for it a few months ago and I was happy with my purchase.

if so this is the thread :

    Its a good product too.

Personally, I would start with the free .357 course, and if that doesnt do it for you, I would pick up Zuess Articles

Has anybody heard of Article Speed? And do you know if it's the same thing as articlespeedwriting.com? It was offered as a bonus through a product I had already purchased through a different link (because the product was supposed to be taken down -- which had happened before). Anyway wondered if anyone had experience with it.

I tried the 5 min article course by David (?) Bullock. I thought it was great when I went into it although it wasn't good for e-commerce niche or things like solar. Unfortunately, he uses Ezine Articles in his example and EA doesn't allow MOST of what he teaches. Now I get every single article that I write flagged and sent back for rewriting. They keep complaining that they are too promotional, spammy, too much bold or italics or whatever even though I had never had problems before taking this course. Even though I've basically gone back to writing the way I did, they still complain. Even this week, I had an article rejected 4 times because the title was supposedly spamming my keyword even though I only repeated 2 words in a 5 word kw phrase and my kw density was below 1%. It's really annoying!
