Google searches from UK

INTERNET MARKETING

Because i'm UK based when I do a Google search it only lists UK results which when doing market research could be vastly different for the same product with a US search for example.

Is there a way to alter my Google browser so that it gives me worldwide or US searches? I can change the location with the Google keyword tool but can't seem to find a way to do it with Google itself, my browser automatically defaults to Google.co.uk

Sure, you can use a plugin in your browser.

I use this one for chrome:

Nope...here's the add-on for FireFox:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5977/

Failing that, simply add "&gl=" to the end of the search string, and then the country code. For example, for the US, add "&gl=us" to the end.

Use www.google.com/ncr in your browser as Geode aboves suggestion.
That works for me and i am based in the UK.

  I believe that the NCR stands for Google No Country Redirection so i think that probably means worldwide.

The Google Global plugin adds a little icon just to the left of the address bar (at least it does on my FF) - click on this to get a list of countries to search in

Click on Go to Google.com on the home page and then use it.
