How many posts/articles can you create on a daily basis?
(Not how many you publish)

I used to hit about 5 a day, but I have since fallen off, and would like to get back to this.

    The most I've ever done was 4, I think. And that was exhausting.

    I like to pretend that I do at least one every day (but it's not quite true, unfortunately, at the moment ).

    My articles are typically around 1,000 words, though. (I make a lot more money from a 1,000-word article than I do from two 500-word ones).

        4 makes me feel quite normal then. I have done about 2 or 3 per day, but between grad school (internet marketing), traveling, and other things, I just cannot find the time or energy to focus.

        I find 500-1000 can be profitable, especially if it's well-written and informative and "reviews" something comprehensively.

        Totally agree with you! Especially if it's something I don't care to delve deeply into (like a deeply analytical topic that requires lots of statistical consideration...zzzzz)

          I think it depends on the purpose of your writing, I write my own content for my websites and and also my blog posts, that comes under marketing and I personally would find that difficult to give to someone else though there are very capable writers here.

          However my research shows me that in my niches backlink articles don't even have to make sense and those I do outsource without any hesitation, but my authority articles are another matter entirely even though some days I only achieve one or two a day.

    Well, if it is something around 500-600 words then I can write around 4 in a day. The content must be that powerful or it is useless..

    It depends on the subject matter. If it's something I know a lot about, I could ramble on for hours. But if it's something I have to do research on, then it takes me longer to fill the page with words.

    It depends on both the subject matter and the intent.

    If it's a simple blog post about something I know a lot about, or even a quick opinion piece, I can knock them out pretty quickly.

    For more formal articles, I'm kind of in the same boat as Alexa in that I favor longer articles. If I know the subject well, I might be able to push four in a day, but they won't be as polished as I like.

    If I have to do any significant research, I'd be hard pressed to get more than two in a day. One is more like normal, and I don't do that every day.

      Don't see a need to release any more than two a day.

      Better to do one quality article which is complete with a video and having considered on page factors such as KEI, etc and off page factors such as providing link bait than to knock out 5 randomly thrown together articles.

      A lot of content is great for blogs because it means you own more web real estate which means you have more landing pages (entry points) for people to find your site.

      However, these efforts can be useless if you don't have a conversion environment, followup sequence and marketing funnel in place.

      Also, might be worth finding some bloggers who are at the same sort of level where you can share articles as guest posts. This gives you each twice the content and access to a wider customer base.

      Not all JVs need to be AdSwaps. You can do Post Swaps, Fan swaps and a load of other types of swaps if you care to think about it.

          In the beginning, I was writing and submitting 10+ articles per day.
          Once you're familiar with a topic it's easy to write quickly.

          However, I no longer recommend this kind of high-volume approach.
          I've since refined my article marketing to laser-targeted quality over
          quantity. As a result, ONE article now will outperform 30 articles
          using my old approach.

          Tip: If you're doing article marketing to generate sales, then ONLY
          focus on buyer-type keywords. More obscure keyword phrases tend
          to attract visitors only looking for free info.

    Just write as much as you can if that is your goal and take breaks in between. but if the goal is to make more money then i would consider Alexa Smith's Post were less is more.

    I was averaging about six a day but once I get to about 50 or 60 about the same subject matter I start to hit a wall and find it difficult to stay creative. That's about the time I switch to a new product/topic and start the process all over again. I do notice that after a few months straight of churning out that many articles I need to take a two week break or so just to clear my head. Funnily enough what made it easier to start getting creative is when I started having other freelancers write for me as well. The reason for this is that since I knew they would be churning out dozens of articles as well I felt less pressure to write 10, 12, 15 in a day. This in turn made it easier to write quality articles, as opposed to junk articles.

    The number of articles you need to write would depend on the needs and size of your blog. For real estate it would be somewhat complex because your market changes constantly. You could have a rule that you used to day that can't be used tomorrow. Your real estate site will have a lot of articles because of the different markets. Short sales, For sale by owner, Lease option, foreclosures and so on. That's four articles there. I don't know if you touch all of these subjects but these are just a couple of ideas. If you use only one of these as your niche you would only need one per day maybe two.

    5 is my best. I'm trying to slowly increase my writing speed (or creation speed I should say lol).

    Articles can be mentally draining if you don't like what you're writing about though. I'm just trying to stay focused on writing one post every other day on my main blog.

    I primarily do video blog posts.. it's easier and I can do many a day (but really don't) but if I am doing actual blog posts I can do 2 a day.. but articles about 5 a day. I'm a talker!

      I usually write at most 6 articles per day on a good day. However, when procrastination sets in, I write only about 2 articles, or only 1..

    I felt a great sense of relief when I read this thread. On a good day, I can write two articles. Since they are usually much longer than 500 words, for arguments sake, let's say I can write 3 articles.

    Actually, I almost never write any one article all in one day. I can do the research and sketch out an article but I usually need a second day to do the actually writing and polishing. I need to ruminate after which the article practically writes itself.

    But I am confused. I repeatedly read advise about how to make $100 a day writing 20 five hundred word articles at .01 per word. How is this done? I also read that the quality of that many articles a day would be lower but how does one lower what they write?

    When I started my first blog, I used PLR to help me generate topics. But the PLR was so bad not only could I not simply rewrite it, I could not trust the research either and pretty much all I got from the PLR was a kernel of an idea.

    I would like to offer writing services as a steady stream of income to support my habit of buying domains (lol) but I can't make the numbers work. Can anyone help/advise?

      A lot of the folks consistently pumping out 20 penny-a-word articles per day are generally putting out this level of quality.

      [Before anyone jumps in to proclaim that they write five buck articles and their quality is excellent, note the use of the words "a lot" and "generally" as opposed to "all" and "always". If you truly do that kind of volume and quality, you are the exception that proves the rule.]

    It depends on how popular the subject your writing about is. If it is something that is really big, it is a lot easier to research. Therefore, it takes a lot less time to write the articles.

    You would not believe how fast I can hammer out copy. Every year I amaze myself and I grew up in a large newsroom on the editorial deadline crew! Just massive amounts of copy I kick out. Should be making more money at it though.

    I would rather write one really laser targetted article and get a ton of traffic then plod along trying to write 5 every day ... I do not outsource articles anymore because in my mind no one can write in the way that I do.

    So I guess it depends whether you are writing for clicks or backlinks.

    With articles I am quite useless - I find after about three or four of them I get bored with the subject matter and find it difficult to be creative. The strange thing is that my articles run at about 500 words, which equates to a page of the ebooks I write. But for ebooks I average 10 pages a day and when necessary even more.

    I don't think it has got as much to do with the speed of my typing, I think it has got a lot to do with my attention span, lol.

      Wow, if you are talking about submitting backlinks on a service then I hit over a 100 posts but each are 100-200 words. Thats because I really work hard to get backlinks and I have lots of time to devote.

      But articles for content is kind of different. I usually do around 10 as well.

    Are you asking from the viewpoint of a content provider/freelance writer or as an internet marketer working on her own sites?

      I average about 30 articles a week. On most days I do a minimum of 4 articles, and then there are a couple of days where I do 6-8 articles. All of my articles range from 400-600 words.

      Needless to say, this can get really tiring and annoying, BUT, it pays the bills!

      I've been considering changing my routine around to Alexa's style of writing (longer articles) and writing less per day (1 or 2), but I guess I firstly need to get the bad taste out of my mouth when people stole my content before and didn't credit me. It would REALLY piss me off if I found my 1,000+ word masterpiece all over the net without credit!

      That being said, I think I'll still give the longer article method a try to test it out. I'm really attracted to doing it since it would actually mean less work, and as many have already stated, better sales conversions.
