For those of you who launched their products on Nov 11th...

Not sure if they realized that it was Remembrance day yesterday...

I know there were at least three internet marketing products that launched yesterday and I'm not sure if it affected their sales.

My personal opinion is to avoid launching on such days... it's like doing a product launch on 9/11. But who knows, I might be wrong.

    I can imagine that significant dates might be good to avoid, specifically for compassionate reasons.

    If you're looking to launch on a specific date, this BBC website should come in handy: BBC ON THIS DAY | Front Page

    Will tell you significant, and not so significant past events from any given date.

    It's funny this topic has come up today. Yesterday I had to change the launch date for one of my products. I was planning launching on the 27th November - which is thanksgiving in the US. I didn't know about it until someone from the US informed me.

    It's really important to avoid significant dates like this for product launches.

    I too think it would have been nicer to observe the date and remember..

    I noticed one merchant playing on the remembrance to try to encourage buying.. made me a little pissed off to see it..

    Yeah, one of my sites launched on March 11th, and I didn't want to make a big deal out of its 6 month anniversary to my members when I realized that would be 9/11. Doh!

    I completely agree. I ended up changing the launch of Legendary Marketers 3 times to avoid country and religious holidays. I have also had some teleseminar attendees question why I was having the teleseminar on a certain holiday. It makes it tough to maneuver but when possible I try to avoid any holidays.
