There are free tools also, like Keyword Tracker and some others. You don't have to spend a ton of money to get keywords.

I agree that the free keyword tools are GOOD, however, if you're going to make a go at this and really want to focus on the range of competition versus the number of monthly searches -a paid keyword tool is a must.

This is one of the 5 that Pete mentions above:

It does a pretty good job for free.

I am the last to say that free Tools are the best,

but the question was which one are recommendable and their names or where to find them.

So we should provide him with a satisfactory answer.

I think, especially in the beginning, when there is no money over to spend in all these little tools, you have to do alot manually and by using free tools, that provide some quite good results.

And to find long tailed keywords, google tool and free keyword tracker tool will do it.

Then, after getting some traffic and revenue on a steady basis you should always fine tune more and more implementing payed tools, if they really help you.

Just my honest opinion
Martin

This is the best tool to use at the moment as all the data comes from Google's database.

This is a free tool

Hope this helps,

No it isn't. I've used nearly every paid kw tool out there, and currently use nothing more fancy than WT free (via SEOBook's tool, on my own server) and Google's various free tools. The difference is that I generally pay someone to do the "grunt work" but that's optional for a beginning marketer. (note that outsourcing costs more than software, but human-edited research is always going to produce higher-quality results than automated due to semantic issues, synonyms, mis-spellings and other factors that tend to baffle even the best software solutions.)

there are many existing free tool that you can use. sure, it can help you. sure, it can give you the service that you want but at the end, you will encounter problems especially if it is in a long term basis. you have to purchase a keyword tracking tool but try to read some testimonials first.
