Watch Your Hostgator Billing

Just a friendly warning

Hostgator have changed their billing platform and it may be advisable for you to check your account at some point soon.

I got an email today warning me of overdue payments and that my service might be disrupted. Thing is I have/had reoccuring billing set up that seemed to fail.

So I logged in and had 5 invoices for the same item plus my normal monthly bill. I did speak with an online assistant and get everything sorted. However if I had not spotted it all my sites would have gone offline.

    On further investigation their system has screwed me up ... I have made an extra payment and am sorting it out with them now.

    I got the same message, only thing is I stopped using Hostgator about 5 months ago. I haven't heard anything from them in 5 months and then all of the sudden about a week ago I start getting emails saying that I have 3 overdue payments to be made. I may owe them one but I am positive I don't owe them three. It's good to know I'm not the only one having these issues. Thanks for the original thread.

      I had this happen too, I stopped my reseller account and haven't heard from them in a few months and now getting emails saying I have about 3 or 4 different invoices outstanding.

    Thanks for the warning. I had an issue with them about a month or two ago and they took my site offline for an overdue bill that was already paid. My site was only offline for about an hour or less and everything was fine once I showed them the mistake.

    I was thankful to a few warriors who let me know right away they couldn't access my site from a WSO. You have got to keep an eye on things sometimes.

    Yeah! It also happened to me, they suspended my account for overdue bills which I had paid them earlier. After, I consulted their online assistant I was told that I paid for duplicate account but they later rectified the mistake and my account was restored back to normal. Hostgator is one of the best hosting company. Check everything up before you do anything on your account

      Their customer service is excellent if you have any troubles with your billing.

    Hi,

    I had an billing issue with them once. I sent them an email, things got sorted overnight and since then there is no problem anymore. I am happy with their service so far.
