Do You Send Out Specials for Every Holiday?

About three weeks ago, I sent out an email marking the last few days that people in my list could sign up under the reduced price membership. After that, it went up. I actually got a pretty good response, considering, so I was wondering, should I send out a special for each upcoming holiday this year?

These would include Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Or do people on the list start taking your specials less seriously?

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Personally, I don't do any special promotions for any holidays whatsoever.

Hello there, I have tried it once or twice and I have also seen that it can definitely help sales and give a bit of a push.

If you saw a result then go for it and test a little more, that's what I would suggest

It personally really irritates me as I am not from the US but I suppose it all depends on your list. For example, to receive a bunch of Thanks Giving email specials drives me nuts, but can easily be avoided by list segmentation.

Very good point, the region and the popularity of the holiday will make a difference as well as the niche that the product is in.

For example the weight loss niche does well after Christmas, so there you could offer a special

    Thanks.
Rather than doing a price reduction, consider doing a
    special bundle offer.

That way, you don't cheese off people who've already
paid full price for the product previously.

My pricing policy is that the people who buy first get
the best price ever and from that point onwards, the
price only goes up or stays the same - it will never
    go down.

This way, people don't hang around waiting for a lower
    offer to come along.

    Dedicated to your success,

    Shaun
