SEO on EBAY STORE?

recently i opened a ebay store to sell some stuffs, so i want to discuss here how to make ebay stroe getting a good serp in goolgle, i know there is a ranking rule in ebay, but when i search my product keywords, there is a dude's(my competitor) ebay page always in page one, so maybe i need build some backlinks for my ebay product page or store links?

    If you want your site to rank then yes you would need to build more links to your site.

    I just wrote an eBook on some sneaky traffic methods with intentions to sell on eBay and do direct marketing with people I thought might be interested in it.

    Short term, it's possible to use all of the very common strategies with backlinks, review articles, but I do it to direct products that I have an inventory of, not my "about me" or my (useless) eBay Store. My theory is that the more individual products you build content and links to support it, the higher your eBay store will rank, meaning your products will rank higher in actual search engines. In your case, it sounds like you just need to build better backlinks on higher PR sites and forums.

    Long term, spending time, energy, and money building backlinks and such is negated by the fact that eBay takes such a big percentage from your gross while still nickle and diming you. Wish I had a good analogy for this one, but I'm too tired. Studies show that actual eCommerce websites are picking up speed and leaving eBay in the dust. (very slow speed.)
