Walk Me Through a Site Flip for $100

I need one person with experience flipping a website to walk me through the process and hold my hand once via email.

I have so many sites I wind up wanting to unload because I get bored with them or want to focus on other stuff but they have content, traffic, etc., so I don't want to just dump them. I want to flip them.

I know NOTHING. I'm green as green can be.

You can't tell me to just "forward the domain" because I won't know what steps to take.

I have WordPress blogs that are hosted on HostGator and domains purchased on GoDaddy. I want the domain transferred intact with content and images to the new owner but I do NOT want someone to just offer to do it for me. I need to know myself.

I need soup to nuts - what do I zip, what do I point and to where? What do I need to say in a site flip listing and where do I list it? etc...

If you think you can tolerate me, let me know and we'll do one.

Thanks!
Tiff

    Hey Tiffany ~

I would be honored to help you through that process. I have a private forum you visit for each of my coaching students. I don't want to advertise or anything, but if you're interested in me helping you through the process you can just send me a PM here on the forum.

I would love to help you free, or paid whatever you want

I think this would cover moving the site to the new owner:

    1. ZIP up the wp-content folder
    2. Log into Hostgater, go to the Mysql database control panel, and save the SQL database for the blog site to a file. I don't work with Hostgator so I'm not entirely sure how this would be done.
    3. Log into your GoDaddy account and go to 'My Account' and then 'Manage Domains'. Then select the domain name in question and click 'Account Change' or Initiate Account Change. Then just fill in all the details about the party you are transferring the domain name in there. Make sure the name and the email address are correct.

You could list it on the WF, Flippa, or sitepoint.

Know any good way to price a site flip for stuff like this?

What factors do you look at?

ie: I have an adsense site - only earned $30 from the 48 posts so far. Posts were from feb-april but googlebots still visiting.

48 articles are unique to me (not plr or anything). Traffic's only about 118-234ish per month.

I am a total newby but this is what I did. I looked at the "just sold" on Flippa and made comparisons of newer established adsense sites to mine. Unique content seems to be a GOOD seller on Flippa. I think you could get some money for it. I would just put it up on auction with a reserve you feel comfortable with so nobody ends up buying it for like $1 or something.

Tiff there is a wso called site flip explosion that you can buy for $17 which shows you how to transfer a wordpress site with pictures. It reminded me of your flip a lens book i.e. great content.

A domain name just gets pushed to the new owner - that is really simple and easy to do. You simply fill in a form on godaddy with the new owners details.

The transfer of the wordpress site is more difficult but with those pictures in the ebook you cant go wrong.

The pricing of a site is a bit like pricing a lens. The fact it has made money is great. It depends on the niche and the adwords value of that niche but the quality of the articles will help too

    Good luck

    Rach

ps I would recommend Michelle Adams guide as it is fantastic but she has taken it off the market for now.

Tiffany, I also would be honored to walk you through this. Factors that website buyers look at include:

    1. Monetization (You say Adsense, but is that the ONLY monetization?)
    2. Traffic (As much as 234 visitors, are those uniques?
    3. Revenue ($30 over three months, about $10/month.)
    4. Search Engine Ranking (Where is your site ranking and for what keywords is it ranking for? PM me about that.)
    5. Content (Unique content = GOOD.)

I'm pretty sure this isn't a niche site but rather a generic site, but your site is ranking for certain keywords that are pointing to your articles. I say with the stats it has now, it could sell for $150-$200 without bonuses (a little more with).

Make sure you state everything that you know about the site and always show proof. Also state the room for growth, and even throw in some bonuses, making your site worth a lot more. Transferring the site to the new owner is easy as pie, I can certainly give you detailed instructions on that.
