Hi fellow warrior members

If you don't know me yet my name is Josh and if i could get your help to answer one quick question would be awesome. Thanks in advanced

If I was to do a report on all the major autoresponder including self hosted and externally hosted, free and paid. Would you read the report?

Because I don't want to go creating this kick-ass report if it is not going to be of use to my fellow warrior members and others out in the public who are having a hard time choosing which autoresponder to use for their skill set and needs.

I just see the question popping up here so often that I thought it would be a great idea to write a guide about it.

Just answer with a quick yes or no is fine.

  Josh, you're going to find two groups here, with a little overlap, maybe.
  
  Group one is the relatively new folks (I hate the term 'newbies' even though I use it as convenient shorthand). They haven't set up all of their systems, and might buy a good report fitting your description - providing it's priced well. Don't ask what that price is, but I'd bet it's on the low end. Too expensive and folks will just come here and post a 'what's the best...' thread.
  
  Group two is the marketers who are embedded into a particular system already, and for whom changing systems would be a major pain in the tochis. They might buy your report, but only if their given system made switching more desirable than just dealing with the current circumstances.
  
  If you're asking whether I personally would buy such a report, right now the answer would be 'no', as I'm currently in group two. I'd need a really urgent reason to change what I'm using now.

  "Free" is way out at the low end, all right...
  
  Given that, I'd likely read it with the idea of either getting giveaway rights or directing people to it. It would have to be pretty good, though, even for free.

sure, its a definite read, I mean, more for the self hosted ones, saving money over the over hyped self hosted monthly rental solutions, seems like a win win.

thanks for the support gentlemen and thanks for the tip about free, the reason I want to give it out for free is I wanted to give back to the warrior forum that had given so much to me over the years (P.s I was under a pen name here

).

Josh, we're cool. Ed's not the only one who believes that.

Maybe you'll be surprised and maybe not, but a lot of folks put out pure road apples when they put together their freebies instead of a sample of their best.

I was just saying that a free report would have to stand on its merits before I'd consider giving it away or directing people to it. Simply being free isn't enough for me to connect my name and rep to a product or report.

Even though I'm not in the market for a new email system, you have me looking forward to reading your report, should you choose to go ahead with it...

@John thanks for the support and yes I understand what you mean about most free products. Normally it's the first interaction I have with a person so I want to make it the best, hence the reason why I put as much effort into paid products as I do when I make my free products.

Hi Josh,

I would read the report for educational purposes and perhaps to share the information learned - but I have been with Aweber for years and I'm happy with their service. That being said, I will probably always stay with them even if a bargain service can compete.

One idea that you might include in your report is how to transfer data from one autoresponder account to another - I think anyone considering that would want to know the specifics required. For instance, would double opt-ins have to opt-in again if you transfer your account, etc.
