Linking paypal to my own button

INTERNET MARKETING

I know I´m getting old and forgetful but I´m sure I used to be able to link my paypal account to a cusomised button but now I don´t seem to be able to.

I have a mini site with 3 order now buttons on it which I want to be able to use, but after going into my PP account I can only find the ínstant´button creation offered by PP. These buttons look pretty awful on the site, so I want to use my own buttons but I can´t figure out how to insert them with the right link to PP.

I´ve hunted all over the PP site, all over various forums and still can´t find an answer.

Can anybody here help please?

What type of paypal do you have? Personal or Premier?

Because I don't think this can be done in personal.

First go to:

Merchant Services >> Buy Now Button >>

Then under "Customize Button" click the drop down link titled "Customize Text or Appearance".

At the bottom of that drop down section is a radio button that you can select to "Use your own button image". Click it and you can add the url to your button image.

  The way that I usually do it is to put the image I want to use on the page I'm creating, then add a hyperlink to it with the email option in your paypal button code. It's a much shorter code than the code for the website button.

What I do is go in and Create a Button - then when I have completed all the steps right at the very end it gives you the option to copy the code.

Next click on the tab that says email... then I take that copy and drop that as a link over my image on my salespage.
