When I left this forum in 2006, Robin Good's Top 55 RSS feed list was all the rage. Since returning to the WF, I see RG's list has grown to about 200 or so places to list an RSS feed. While hunting around and playing with which ones might do me some good, I came across a blog submission site that can convert or create an RSS feed for a static web page! I didn't know we could do that! ![]() FeedYes.com gives rss feeds to sites without feeds I tested it, used it on one of my SEO clients sites: Maryland Upholstery: "Joe's Upholstery Shop" auto tops and interiors, boat covers, seats, and commercial upholstery work. Family Owned & Operated Frederick Shop. It seems that the feed created leads to a http://bloglines.com RSS page ?? And bloglines isn't accepted by technorati? ![]() Problem is the feed feedyes.com creates, while it beats a blank, it doesn't seem to be accepted at too many noteworthy places... Are thier other sites to accompilish this neat trick? |

Why in the world would you need an RSS feed for a page that doesn't change?

If it's one my own pages or one of my clients... I tweak the sales copy until I'm satisfied with the conversion/ makes more money. But the main reason is to get more (unconventional) inbound links! That's what I was after primarily. And while I'm at it, people DO scroll through the offerings, if my description is provocative enough, or thoughtful, or quaint as the case may be depending on the subject matter, I'll traffic that way. Just like I get traffic from my blogs that way. Why not capitalize on extra traffic to my static pages as well? | |

I have been doing this for some time and yes, it does seem to help with getting ranked well. This site was down for a while but it is back up. It has php rss so it helps search bots can read them. can't post url until next post... (#15) |

David, you really need to get in touch with fellow-warrior Karen Newton (I hope she doesn't mind me telling you that ).She is an RSS guru and has personally helped me with some of this stuff. She also has a great product called Rogue RSS Profits that will help you a lot also. |
