Need help with creating a short report in PDF format!

Could you please outline the steps that I need to follow in regards to creating a 5 page short report in a PDF format.

    It depends on what you're using to create it, I suppose. I use Open Office and all you do is write up the report and then export it as a PDF file. Of course, you may want to format it and add a cover, etc., before turning it into a PDF, but that's all optional.

    If you need more detail, just ask and I'll try to help, if you're using Open Office, that is.

    If you're using a Mac computer, it has PDF export built-in, and you can use that in your word processor to convert the file.

    If you have a PC, doing a search in this section of the board will turn up several recommendations for free PDF converters you can use from your word processor.

    Thank you for the quick responses. No, I don't have MAC and that would have been nice.

    Tina, I 'll be using Open Office. I 'd like to use this short report to build a list and is the file already downloadable when it's exported into a PDF file??

      Just type your report. Then search google for "free pdf". That's it. YOu will find an array of free and pay programs you can use to upload your report and convert to pdf. Dont forget to lock your content so nobody can copy it.

      Yes, once the file has been converted into a pdf it then can be downloaded. If you are using a service like aweber to deliver, you'll have to upload it just like you would any other file. It will then be delivered as an attachment with the autoresponder email.

    Write in open office or paste in from word to open office then hit pdf creator boom done!

    You can google this on the internet and you will find a free ebook that teaches you how to do it. Or check out Ehow website for how to do this. There are alot of free ebooks you can download to learn just about any thing.

      You can use Open Office - or if you are using the latest version of Word. Then click on the big icon up the top left hand corner - this will give you a drop down menu.

      Scroll down to Save As and then choose PDF.

      It will save the file automatically as a pdf for you.

      Oh if you are doing a report - it is nice to put a page boarder around your document, gives it that professional look.
