How much of a "budget do I need to earn $3k a month profit using paid traffic.

I just want to make enough to add to my savings nor am I trying to build some big massive online business.

$3k-$5k/month is enough for me as it relates to IM income. Some of you may suggest I set a higher goal but I'm not greedy and I know how much is enough for me.

To earn that per month, how much of a budget would I need to start with in order to get me to my goal within 6 months?

I talking about paid traffic. Mainly because it's faster than SEO.

thanks.

No way to answer this question. The question is too vague.

It will depend on your sales page conversions.
    Price of the product.
    Squeeze page conversions.
    Followup email open rates.

Blah, blah and more blah. Too many variables.

No squeeze page and no followup emails, it's just hubpages. The visitors to all the hubs are 1000-1200 and the visitors to the sales page are 35-40, the conversion (of the visitors to all sales pages of different products) is about 2%, and this is not a major point now as I am testing, the point is that i need traffic for adsense also. My original point was how to get visitors volume that is related to the leading one which receives about half the visitors.

My niche is health and beauty but with hubpages you write about anything.

I have to agree with Thomas. It depends on the products that you are promoting the niche that you are in as PPC costs can vary by a factor of 10 times (Forex market vs local roofing contractor).

You also need to plan for the cost of PPC in your monthly turnover. I assume you want to make 3-5k in profit.

Then all the factors that Thomas mentioned.

I know this is possible. But you have to do some serious niche research. You need a business plan first.

    Whats your niche?

If you have that much money to play with, why not do it right from the start with SEO?

I don't think paid traffic is as effective as organic traffic! So why not spend the cash to build a business that will attract people rather than pay for visitors that may or may not (most likely not) convert?

Why don't you think you have time for SEO?

      This makes no sense.

Why would organic traffic be better? Say a site gets organic traffic for a keyword but I bid on the same keyword using PPC.

It is the same person searching.
