How many times is aweber going to get hacked?

I've gotten a couple emails over the past 24 or so hours that go something like this:

"you low down rotten *******, I signed up to your list with a special email and now it is getting spammed to death...rot in hell!!!"

I thought to myself...hmmm..this is interesting because I don't even do list swaps...so, I don't have a clue how this could happen.

Then I see this:

Email Subscriber Data Accessed; What We’re Doing About It

Is this like the 3rd time this year?

Can we get some security?

I know stuff is going to happen, but come on...The last incident wasn't THAT LONG ago.

Lol that was nice of him to show you such love wow.... Someone was mad!

I use Aweber too and I am waiting for mine to come in hopefully they are not as rough ouch!

I hope Aweber uses Nassau, and Pentagon security in the future so this kind of thing does not happen again.... I don't pay $50 bucks a month for second class service.

But I am gonna hang in there and hopefully it does not happen again its a shame but they still are the best Email service out there unfortunately!

In my opinion, I agree with you..they definitely are the best.

      BUT

After successfully being hacked at least one time this year prior to this...now this...one more time this year, and my ass is out of there.

More and more people are signing up to lists with unique emails that identify you as a list owner. This kind of stuff can be seriously damaging to any sort of relationship that you've built with your subscriber.

Where are you gonna go getresponse? If it gets worse I will be switching over also but I am gonna hang in there for know.

I began to move most of my lists over from AWeber to
other providers when their systems got compromised
        in December 2009.

I still have some lists with them and a lot of my own
offline clients are still using AWeber.

I'm now shifting a lot of lists over to iContact.

The key thing is how you respond to your subscribers when
        they raise their concerns.

P.S. Here's a thread on the latest AWeber data compromise
just in case you missed it:
