If you're referring to foreign outsourced slave labor, I wouldn't worry about it that much unless you're dealing with serious money. Are you going to fly to their country in order to pursue them in court if something goes wrong?
    Signature

    I'm all about that bass.

Im talking about hiring a ghostwriter to write a book and give me the rights of the written content. Frank said its good to have a signed work for hire agreement on that, but I dont know how to sign contracts over the internet.

@rmichel, thanks I will read that tonight, I hope it will answer my question

I DO need to know how to sign a contract over the internet, because hiring people will not be the only activity that Im going to be involved in that will require such action

Check with a lawyer. I have heard, via some legal sources, that an email conversation can serve as a legally binding contract of sorts, and I've used this in the past when I have hired writers. So far I haven't had to fight this in court, so I can't say for sure if it works.

I have also "signed" contracts via email by simply typing my name into the form and emailing it back. Again, never gone to court with it, so use at your own risk.

What you want to do is have copyright transferred to you upon payment. Work for hire doesn't apply. You can read the details here: http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ09.pdf (PDF document).
