New to Creating Mailing List

For anyone who is new to creating their own mailing list and have little or no money to invest. What suggestion do you have in order to get started?

What would be the first step to take?

Second step amd so on...
#creating #list #mailing
  • Step 1 - Earn some money.
Step 2 - Invest in hosting.
Step 3 - Invest in AWeber.

Honestly, you need the hosting and the autoresponder (it doesn't have to be AWeber, but it really does need to be a paid solution to give you room to grow) before you can get anywhere.

You can get a trial from AWeber for the first month for next to nothing, and you can get value hosting, so you only need to collect together $10 or so to get started. Once you have the accounts, you just need to make sure that you're getting enough leads to cover your costs and keep growing your business month on month.

Generally, I'd suggest running a WSO to get the first people on the list, but that seems out of your budget, so you may have to look at free traffic generation methods instead. One great one is just to use your Warrior Forum signature to send people to your optin offer.

I definitely agree with the advice above. But to give you a more detailed step by step plan you will need to:

Step 1: Grab your Domain Name

Just go to Godaddy.com and purchase a domain name using a coupon code from "fatwallet.com" that you can find by going to google and typing in "godaddy coupon code". This will allow you to purchase a domain for $7.49.

Step 2: Get your opt-in page done, up and running.

The best and cheapest place for getting this done is "ScriptLance.com".

      Step 3: Your Free Give-Away

Take a few days and just create a solid 10 page report with good information, that's more than enough! You can also outsource it if you want.

Step 4: Get The Free Report Cover Designed

Once again, use Scritplance.com or if you have the skills you can do it yourself.

I suggest just spending about $20 and get a nice one designed, it'll help in your conversions.

Step 5: Grab Your Aweber Account

My experience with Aweber has been awesome. They offer great customer support and are very reliable. They're simply the best autoresponder on the market.

Just go and grab your $1 trial for your first month.

Step 6: A Good Affiliate Program To Promote

Go to Clickbank.com and just grab a good product you like, get your affiliate link for it.

Step 7: Test Your Opt-In Page

Opt-in yourself and make sure it's working well!

      Step 8: Start Driving Traffic!

Post on forums like the warriorforum with your compelling "signature link"
Create a Facebook and Twitter account and start building up your following and relationship with your followers. Then funnel them to your opt-in page after you have that strong relationship.

This a great start for building your email list.

      Hope this helps.

Don't have the time to write emails that will get opened, read and your reader to take action then leave me a message. I will get back to you within 48 hrs.

You're very welcome! I'm glad my advice was able to help you understand "list building" just a little better.

Now I hope you TAKE ACTION and immediately start driving traffic to build your email list.

But just remember the money is NOT in the volume or amount of people on your list, but in your RELATIONSHIP with your list.

So, if you have 500 people on your list and a good relationship with your list you are more likely to make far more money than someone with 1,000 people on their list but has a bad relationship with their list.

          All the best.

Superb advice given, I would just add a couple of things I've found that can help on the expenses front.
        • When creating the giveaway, you might want to consider Private Label Rights (PLR) info. PLR products allow you to edit them and you can usually claim authorship of the report. They also often have prewritten squeeze, thank you pages and graphics bundled in with them. This way for the small investment of purchasing the plr report, you can cut down on the expense of outsourcing the creation of the report along with the building of the web pages.
        • With regards to Domain names and webhosting, I know JustHost offer a free domain with every hosting package. I have to say I've had no problems with them all the time I've used them.
        • As an alternative to Aweber, Getresponse offers a free trial up until you have 100 subscribers. By this time you will probably be seeing some income and so won't mind paying the subscription (which is slightly less than Aweber).
I do understand what it is like when you are just starting out and cash is so tight. Hopefully these tips may save you a few $ withour effecting the quality of what you are offering.

        All the very best

    Great responses Thom & Sonam.

wvcopywriter, I just finished writing 10 articles for ezine articles.

    Search for author Mark Stafford.

The articles will start posting next Tuesday for 11 days (skipping Halloween) and have really good content, not just crap to try and sell you something.

You might find a gold nugget or two.

Good luck with your list building!

Sure, you can hire VA's (Virtual Assistants) in India to write interesting and compelling articles for you, hire someone to handle your paid advertising such as PPC, just hire a traffic generating expert in your niche, etc.

There are many ways you can outsource your traffic generation methods.

In fact, there are a number of threads on here that dive deep into the world of outsourcing. So do check them out when you get a chance. They are very helpful.

      Good luck,

For real. AWeber will keep everything organized and keep your deliverability very high.

Overall, the best thing you can do is grab a copy of a PLR bonus and add it as an incentive to join your list.

Then grab some swipe emails for affiliate offers and send them out. The vendor usually knows best how to sell people their own products, so listen to their advice.

You've got some great advice already and I am certainly not trying to overwhelm.

    I'll just add 2 things.

    1. You need the right mindset...be willing to learn.

    2. You'll need to decide from now what your traffic source is going to be.
You really want targeted and responsive traffic to build your list.

    Allow me explain.

List building is about converting Visitors to subscribers and subscribers to customers or better still repeat customers (this is where the real money is).

You need traffic that wants what you are offering. What have you got to offer?

Why should the people in your niche want it?

Anyway be aware that you are not going to build a huge list overnight. It could be slow. Be ready for this. On the other hand you could get lots of traffic but no one is buying (hence I say choose your traffic source carefully).

I would stay clear of those 100,000 visitors for $29.99 ads!

Be prepared to BUILD A RELATIONSHIP with your list, find out what they need help with, source it or create it yourself then sell it or give it away for free.

People want to buy from friends not strangers-make friends.

I have a free ebook that might help

    All the best

    Will
