How To Record a Skype Video Chat?

I'm creating an interview product & I would like to create video chats and record them. I know how to record audio on Skype..but does anyone record Skype video chats on here?
What software do you suggest?

Thanks,

Rich

I have used screenflow to do this in the past (mac) but you can also use camtasia.

When recording, I had to just allow video for the other person, and my camera was on me - but not attached for skype.

This way I was also filmed for the entire event.

Hard to explain, but if there is a camera on your computer it will have a tough time serving your call as well as serving your screencapture software at the same time.

If you set it to serve your screen capture software you will have the screenshot (showing the other speaker on a skype call when they speak) and the software will put you in a side box which can be manupulated and put anywhere on the final edit.

Jill has one of the best ideas if you already own camtasia, I also see pamela and vodburner, I've used both and have had good luck with both.
I have also heard imcapture works good but I've never tried it. Good luck!

I'm using call recorder from ecamm, has the option of the side by side interview look too.

I then spruce it up in final cut (you could use imovie) and put a motion background to it. Once it's set up it's easy to repeat.

There's a few secs clip in my video below.

I've used Camtasia with great results. The deal is, it is only in the last couple of versions they added recording of system audio (the other party in the conversation).

Works great though, I even use it to record webinars since GoToWebinar audio quality sucks.

Hi, I think you can also search for a video recorder to record Skype video. While you are using Skype to talk with your friends, it is available to capture Skype chat with different tools.

use on of the newer quicktime programmes and there should be an option to record onscreen or something like that, i would be more specific, however i am not on the computer that has it. You have to be sure to turn on the microphone and sound options. Quicktime is free and gives great quality.

As I remember skype support third party softwares/plugins. Try searching 'Pamela skype recorder' on google, hopefully it will work for you!
