If you have quicktime pro you can encode it using the h.264 codec and reduce the video's size by:

1. Encoding with h.264 which offers higher compression while retaining image quality.

2. Lowering the video's bit rate when encoding.

3. Lowering the video's audio bit rate when encoding.

4. Reducing the video's frame rate when encoding. For example a video that was captured at 30 frames per second will usually look acceptable on the web at 15 frames per second. Just be sure to use a ratio of 2:1 to avoid audio synchronization issues. For example standard video is 29.95 fps so you would need to encode it at 14.985 when using the 2:1 ratio.

Download a program called "Super" to compress your file in flash format. You'll have great compatibility across the web and probably compress the video to its smallest possible size.

i am sorry to say that video compression and conversion can be a VERY complex subject.

Get a program like super or virtualdub, and get "video codecs", the most compatible for your purpose might be XVID. Also, check out "ffdshow", which is a pack containing many codecs....respective check out CCCP codec pack which also includes FFDSHOW. CCCP might be more transparent to install.

Then..you load the video into any of the programs (i like VirtualDub for simpler tasks like re-coding)...and you need to encode the video into new format, eg. using XVID compression.

It might be a little more complicated since your video is in MOV...just to give you a heads up there are gazillions of programs to convert videos, some might load MOV and some might not. (Since it is a proprietaey format)
You might also want to do a google search like "mov to avi" or "mov to xvid converter" and get more pointers and maybe a simple software which does this...this subject can be very, very complex

Only if you don't put in the effort to solve your problem.

I provided you the exact solution and its actually quite easy if you have quicktime pro or are willing to invest $29 in it to have a great tool to solve the issue at hand.

The key is that with quicktime pro you can retain the best quality for your video while if you used Windows Movie Maker or "Super" you will be sacrificing quality... Though super is a pretty cool program for all it can do.

I second this. SUPER is a great conversion tool with a user friendly interface and a plethora of functionalities. Best of all it's free.

Seems very technical, I will probably just pay someone to do it for me.

I agree with crystalq - I have used windows movie maker to reduce movies drastically down without a great deal of loss of quality - did one the other day down from 25MB to about 1.5MB
