Well from experience I can tell you that many times google shows ads related to your previous searches rather than related to the content of the page you are viewing

I agree with you 100%.

...and once I thought about it some more, I don't mind telling you that I became mildly interested. The more I contemplated it, the more interested I became. I thought about it again and again and became very interested. Then, shortly after hitting the peak of my interest... I was almost immediately not interested at all.
