Have you been ripped off with SEO?

I met someone last week who said that they had been ripped off to the tune of £11,000 through paying a company for SEO and i was also taken for a ride 3.5yrs ago for £1500 (even though i later got a chargeback through mastercard).

I just wondered if anyone else had been had and if so i'd love it if you could answer my poll or post your stories.

    Your posting brings up a valid discussion about the worth of any SEO and that some did not receive the value purchased or no delivery at all.

    However, asking folks to 'name and shame" the companies or persons they feel cheated them is a bit frowned upon here.
    The reason is that it could open you and others, including this forum to legal action, if I am correct.
    Someone can either verify I am correct or give details that are different.

    I think you posting will be fine here if you take out the "name and shame", "the company name" parts and just ask "have you been ripped off?" and "did you complain or take action to get your money back etc.?"

    Just thought I would chime in cause I thought the post might get deleted if I am correct. I know that we don't "name and shame" others here unless there is substantial and undisputed proof.
    I am not complaining at all to you personally and just trying to help you out.

    Thanks for your reply i never thought of the legal situation and ive changed the post wording but i'd still love to hear peoples stories and votes without actually naming the companies involved.
