From Good to Great! - What it takes?
And it got me thinking.
There are all manner of avenues a person can go in with trying to make money online
Blogging
Affiliate Programs
Digital Products
Memberships
Service
Authors
Programming
Hard Goods ( commerce )
And probably all of us know people who stand out above the crowd in each of these avenues.
And probably all of us know people who have seen others succeed and have tried to copy there approach and yet have not even come close to scraping the surface of the success that these other people have attained.
Its not like these other people got started when there was noone else doing it. Most started when loads of people were doing it.
So what really makes the difference? What takes a person from a Good/Average model to a Great/Standout above the crowd model?
Sure we know its " Hard Work " but that isn't the only factor. As im sure many of us on here can say with utter honesty that we are hard workers
Something else makes these people stand out and create almost a brand around their name
I could start naming names but frankly there are far to many.
Some might say, they just picked the right avenue and it was their thing, their niche, there destiny... others might say no...they just have charisma, others might say they came in at the right time, others might say... they knew some people who knew some people and bobs your uncle...
THE REASON I BRING THIS UP IS.....
There are so many avenues that we as entrepreneurs can go in online and non us want to waste time focusing on projects or niches which aren't going to pay off
So my question is 2 fold
1. How do we decide which avenue to go down in building a business online so we dont waste our time in areas that are never going to pay off no matter how many years we put into them?
2. How then do we go from good to great within that avenue to stand above the crowd to the point that people equate our name or our website with that niche i.e I equate Blogging with " Darren Rowse ", I equate Copywriting with Yanik Silver, I equate product creation with Frank Kern and Ed Dale etc etc...
Anyway just throwing this out there, would love to hear your thoughts on it all.
