Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Warrior Forum, but I'm eager to get started on here! I was wondering if any of you had some great productivity tips? I think everyone struggles with being productive at some point. Any good ideas?

Thanks!

First off...WELCOME TO THE WARRIOR FORUM!!!

It's very wise of you to start off your first few posts looking to become Productive rather than look for quick ways to make money online, because as we all know Productivity is the key to making money online! Plain and simple.

I struggled mightily trying to effectively manage my time and become productive when I first began online. It took me MONTHS (literally) to finally understand!!!

But I somehow figured it out. Here's a forum thread post I created that has a great discussion going on. It's called:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...ductivity.html

    Hope it helps.

    Kindest,

    Sonam Lama

      Hello, and Welcome!
I found that when I was just starting out I suffered from Shiny Object Syndrome. I went from one offer to another that was promising me overnight riches without me lifting a finger, all on auto pilot.
After trying several of this and a little of that, and spending some hard earned money on "systems" that were pretty much worthless, I gave up for a while, not being able to decide exactly which business model to pursue.
I'm back at it now, a little wiser and a lot more determined. And the two best things I ever did...
      1. Unsubscribe from everyone's list. I used to get so many emails that I couldn't possibly read them all and have time to concentrate on what I really needed to... marketing... I downloaded so many PDF files I was knee deep in them. Now I'm on 3 or 4 lists that really add value and don't chew up my time.
      2. Get a great mentor. Took me a while, but I did find a couple people to really place my faith in. A good mentor can really reduce the learning curve. It works for me, and at $29 a month it's a lot less than I was spending on worthless launches.
      Hope this helps...

There's no easy answer to productivity. Many spend their entire lives trying to tap their potential, and as Dylan Moran puts it, only end up eating slightly less cheesy snacks each day.

Searching for scientific research into productivity is likely to give you information that is somewhat trustworthy, on a topic for which most advice is hearsay.

I used to tell people to "Just do it!", but apparently that doesn't help: The "Just Do It!" Trap: Why Radio "Docs" Help Few: Scientific American

Writing down your daily goals is a scientifically backed method of improving your productivity, apparently.

Excellent question I believe. I have an overall marketing plan.

This is something I do daily such as facebook, twitter some type of training and other routine stuff.

There maybe a different routine on a specific day. For instance my new blogging routine will be Mon. Wed. Fri. so I will adjust the other things I do those days.

Anyway have an overall plan then of course you will have you add ons (create a website or write an article) but give yourself a specific amount of time to get it done or to a stopping point.

          Good Luck.

    SCHEDULE EVERYTHING!

Seriously. It'll help a ton. I use Gmail's calendar and I schedule everything. On Saturday/Sunday I lay out my goals for the week - things I want to accomplish by the next Saturday. Then nightly, I evaluate how much of my weekly goal has been completed a fill in my calendar for the next day based on that info. I actually create yearly goals that I break down to quarterly, then monthly to weekly...

I schedule research. I schedule brainstorming. I even schedule time to relax. Then... I stick to my calendar.

It's funny... sometimes I'll be working on a project and my mind will wander, or I'll see/read something interesting that I want to learn more about (actually, this happens a lot. especially because of THIS forum. lol) and just for a second I begin to drift... then I remember, 'schedule it!' and I do. I get distracted very easily and it's been a productivity lifesaver for me.

I agree with Ted_B about getting a Mentor. However, before you choose a Mentor, choose what type of Internet Marketing you want to learn. Do you want to get into affiliate marketing, domaining, product creation, virtual assisting, or something else?

No matter what type of Internet Marketing you choose, I suggest you use MindMaps as an organization tool. They really help me with productivity! It is a free program - (just do a Google search and you will find the download link.)

    Good luck!
