If You're Going to Increment the Price on Your WSO...

It pisses me off that people increment their prices on WSO's...the old "Dime Sale" scheme?

I know it seems to work really well for most who do it and of course they make more money by doing it... some use countdowns and offer an additional discount for a limited period, that's okay, if they're really clear... here's why it's hard.

You send me a notification of your WSO to your list, yes I'm on your list from your last WSO [ain't that against the rules unless your list are warrior members]...

and by the time I get there it's not $5 anymore because you told the whole world, now it's $17 or $24 or...

Yeah, this is a rant...I watched a WSO all day today off and on trying to wait for some reviews or something...

And then all of a sudden the price went up...

give us some numbers or some warning, screw this one cost now and something different later unless you explain it well.

Wow, that didn't make sense...I just don't think the people that jack their WSO prices provide enough proof that a price increase is coming.

Just Frustrated RANT

Buy it... If it sux, ask for a refund... Then you can get in at the lower price...

p.s. My WSO has gone up on the dime store... And if you are in the public, the price is quite a bit higher than even the WSO price...

I'm sorry, I'm old school and the more options you give the purchaser, the more confused you get them, the less likely the purchase.

The old school guys from my era suggested that you keep the choices to a minimum, I guess they didn't think about the...

    never mind

      It CAN be frustrating.

That being said, I only see one choice in what you're talking about: buy, or don't.

I've tried lots of both with dime sale and without and I must say, they work pretty well if the market is there.

I mark mine real clearly like:

        First 10 = $17
        Second 10 = $19
        Third 10 = $23

...or whatever. I do prefer to just stick the price on it and go but certain things or products work better with the dime sale model.

BUT....big but here, I always mail my new WSO offers to existing WSO customers that have stayed on my list and I think that's key. They gave me their support and I really appreciate it so I make sure they get first crack at new offers.

Works like a charm and everyones happy.

No, Allen said it was okay to email our list about our WSO. Not sure if it was in the rules or in a specific post.

As to the price increase, they mostly always warn of price increase since that's the point to get people to buy before the price goes up. If there was no warning then I can see why your upset but prices goes up all the time. I've put stuff on my "save for later" cart in Amazon and then the price increases without warning so it happens. As Matt said, 'you snooze you lose'.

Why wouldn't Allen want us promoting his forum to our list? To think he would be against that is kind of silly if you stop and think about it.

The thing is that some of us use WSO's to test pricing...

In my case, I dime store to see where the top-end level of the cheap WSO buyers is at...

Once I know where the break-down point is for Warriors on pricing, I know I can double the price for the global marketplace...

If you wanted to buy mine at $10, $15 or $20, that is knowledge worth knowing... If $23 is too high for you all of a sudden, that is important information to know too...

Hey, you can always pay full price like the rest of the world, or buy on my WSO at a dime store discount...

Ouroboros, You mention notifying your list about a WSO being against the rules, but that isn't. You are allowed to notify your list about a WSO, you are allowed to offer the same WSO price to your list, a WSO just has to be cheaper than the price to the public at large.

I don't think increased pricing WSO's will be going away any time soon, because they work. You missed the price because other people took action and bought while you were waiting, now all those who waited pay more and are more likely to buy sooner next time. Sure it may annoy some people, but it works on others, so it will be used by those who know it works.
