I've been considering doing some offline marketing, is this something I need to discuss with my affiliate network or should i consider it a given that it's OK since its not mentioned anywhere on the site? I don't want to get on bad terms with anyone and i also don't want to seem like an idiot!

I often see people discussing offline marketing on WF - have you done a search for the term to see what is being discussed. That might give you some feedback.

    HI,

I have done offline marketing using CPA and affiliate marketing and with affiliate marketing unless stated it seems to be no problem. As long as you bring sales from a quality offline campaign.

CPA I find it is best to discuss before you launch your offline marketing campaign.

This way you avoid getting dinged for a large flow of traffic all of a sudden.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

IMO check out Local Biz Builders forum at: LocalBizBuilders.com | Offline Community

They are the best offline resource.

With an affiliate program where an actual product is sold and money is exchanged, I don't think they really care who you market to as long as they have the money to pay for the product!

With CPA type offers where leads are generated, things get a little more complicated. Though you may generate quality offline leads, in some cases there are picky advertisers on the CPA networks who only want certain kinds of leads (perhaps nationwide and not concentrated in your geographical area) - in this case the best thing you can do is contact the Affiliate Manager at your CPA network to determine if offline marketing is permissible for your offer.

If this is a CPA-related question, you should post your question in the CPA Forum here.

There's also an Offline Marketing forum here, but that's aimed at people who want to sell marketing services to brick-and-mortar businesses -- not sure if that's what you're after, but there it is if you want it.
