agreed with daryl. But at the same time being interested in the thing you do is definitely ranks the most important in whatever you do and the field you involved surely must be what you talented in as well. Effort and time is the important element for success. never give up..!

Used to do everything by myself when I started out... The money came quickly but, broken down by hour, it came down to an hourly wage of around $10-$11. That's when I learned to let go a little and rely on other people, find good freelancers and start managing my projects instead of slaving away on them.

The results have been amazing! More time, more money! Learn to outsource and manage people, learn it!

I choose to do everything myself if I can, I've learned the hard way that if a task is complicated your much better doing it yourself to make sure it's done right. I sometimes give the simple stuff out to my oversea contacts but I've learnt that if it's complicated and could have massive negative results on your business if done wrong then you are much better doing yourself.

It all comes with knowing what to buy and using trusted sources again and again for other projects. My time is precious to me and I spend as much as I need to each week on IM, but I know the minute I take it for granted, is the time I begin to slip.

I used to do EVERYTHING myself and I put in seriously long hours for average return - it was better than working in a J-O-B (by far) but my income has increased dramatically since I started outsourcing.

Writing is the one thing that although I enjoy doing myself, I outsource the majority of it because it's so time consuming. Other tedious tasks such as social bookmarking, backlinking etc can all be outsourced for really cheaply, freeing up your time to do something more profitable (or enjoyable).

I can sit in front of my computer anywhere in the world and earn money, because I put in the time at the beginning....and still do now.

The alternative could be to get in the car, drive for an hour in rush hour traffic, sit in the cubicle for 8 hours (and no less, or else you are fired), get back in the car and drive 1 hour in traffic to get home...all for someone else's bottom line.

I know it's kind of a bleak picture of a "real job" in my mind, but I like the idea of the freedom of internet marketing.

I definitely think you have to have a passion for what your doing Adam & enjoy it, or else it will be like a chore & you won't have the passion or commitment to move forward.

I believe putting in the hardwork at the beginning & planting the seeds for the future is key, as well as timing & being in the right niche at the right time & finally passion & determination for what your doing, which will enable you to give maximum effort & commitment to all of your online projects.
