Is there any way that I can sell access to my How-To site on Ebay ?

I finally finished my how to website. It's in the home improvement niche. Is there anyway I could somehow market it on Ebay? Do I need a physical product to ship? If so I thought about maybe sending an article or something like that to them in the mail that has their login information on it.

What do you guys think?

To sell on eBay you are required to have a physical product. This can be a cd. You might try selling something like a video or ebook that includes the membership as part of the purchase. Then ship the video or ebook on a cd to buyers and add to the cd the information they need to go to your web site and set up their account.

You may not have as many people actually signing up for the membership but at least you will have a product you can sell on eBay and can get some money from that alone.

You do not have to have a physical product. You just have have a product to offer. Ebook is a example this is not a physical product you just need to give them the info to download the product. Also I have done some spade work on ebay and people have begun selling services on ebay as well. So once again this is not a physical product but a service. Just to give you an idea of service being sold on ebay. Social bookmarking is currently being sold on ebay. Now yes the person needs to show proof in some way that they received the bookmarks but something physical does not need to be shipped. You just need to make sure that you word things right or you could run in to some troubles with ebay and those who purchased your product.

I would also like to point out if you are building a membership out of this you do not want to have one password for all buyers. The reason for this is if they are just freebe shoppers. Then they are going to pay the inital payment for the log in details then quickly turn around and ask for a refund. Which is going to give them a lifetime access to your service for free where others had to pay money to be in there.

If you want to market it on ebay just use their classified ads section. However if you have a how to downloadable book then you just need to link the payment to your thank you page. You are going to be hugley disapointed though if you are selling an ebook on ebay. You are only going to get .99 for just about every ebook you will find.

Ahh... I remember the days of selling digital products on eBay. Used to be pretty cool actually, was all about your sales copy anyhow. Nowadays, it's not really the best decision you can make since there really is no way of selling them without an actual physical product. Is it worth it? Hardly so...
