Backlinking Youtube Videos.

Hi,
Is it ideal to backlink the heck out of a youtube video (designed to send traffic to a niche site) to increase the SERPs?

Or is it best to just do onpage SEO on the main site, and send the backlinks there?

Thanks.. this is a burning question.

yeah you want to backlink your yotube video too, time and time again I found that youtube will outrank and rank a lot easier then any other site.

If you want to test my theory you can send the same amount of links to your money site and then to the youtube video and see which on ranks better and faster.

It's much easier to get a hubpage or squidoo or youtube on the top of SERP than your 0 PR site, and you'll still get traffic, plus an upsell out of it. If you can just get your site to the top first, even better.

Yes the more you backlink/immbed your video the better it will do and vids can be slow to rank.

Here is an easy trick you can do that gives you VERY HIGH pr back links.

Set up a new gmail address with your keyword in the address.

Set up a seperate youtube acc with this new email and use your keyword in your Youtube user name.

Upload your keyword optimized vid (Google can tell how many times you say your keyword now) and only add ONE vid to this account.

This vid will feature on your channel page whenever anyone visits it and it is important that it stay in that feature box so only upload 1 vid. (Youtube puts your latest video here).

Next make sure page rank checker is enabled on your toolbar and do the following.

Do a search for your keyword on Youtube.

Scroll through the results and visit every videos CHANNEL page.

What will surprise you is how many PR5 and PR6 channel pages you will find and you can give your vid a heap of them in no time at all.

When you find a high pr channel page you simply leave a channel comment, something like, Sweet vids or love your channel.

This will leave a keyword anchor text comment on their PR6 channel page that points directly to your channel, and the vid that is featured.

And guess what, these links are DO follow !

Your vid will start going nuts once you start giving it high PR links.

    Hope that helps

Wow, this is a great idea! So you think, the following strategy could help to get a high ranking on the SERP for a youtube video?

      1. I create 4-5 channels with seperate accounts (account name is keyword)
      2. I comment on many high PR channel sites to get quality backlinks to my channels.
      3. After I get PR for my channels, I link back to my youtube video I want to rank in Google (or simply to one of my websites)

      What do you think?
