Sales Funnel Advice please!

Hi, I hope you can help and provide suggestions for my proposed sales funnel process. I will send traffic to a squeeze page, once signed up to my autoresponder I will either send them to a page promoting a "special $1 trial" for affiliate marketing training (please note its not really a OTO as the trial is available at any time but would be promoting this as an affiliate) or once they sign up for my free video training series after they have gone through the videos I will promote product at the end.

Would people be more likely to purchase at the beginning after the sign up process or the end of the videos once they know a bit more about me and the value I give?

I also want to mention that I'm building my list for the long term and although the product I'll be promoting is a very reputable product would promoting to soon damage my list?

Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated!

I'd definitely test out a few options and see what works best...I think that is what most will suggest...TEST!

It doesn't matter when you start promoting products, it could be right away, I think it matters how often you promote. 2 emails a week should be the max though.

When it comes to sales funnels mine look more like this

Free report for an opt-in >> Upsell to a $17 video on a related product >> Recieve e-book >> promote with affiliate links in ebook >> 3 days Survey person on biggest problems in niche >>> create product around biggest problem >>> sell to list (stack bonuses) >>> cross sell to awesome related affiliate product. >>> Put into super buyers list >>> Sell Reoccuring Membership >>> Make a homestaudy course >>> sell homestudy course at discounted price to memberships and full price to public >>> Stack free bonuses over 2 months >>> Do a live workshop/event >>> sell mentoring, mastermind group and services. Then I license out how to become a mentor like myself and how to create a membership program for any niche. etc.

    Hope that helps a bit

I like Joshua's better than your $1 idea. Free is good, but I don't like to waste giving out credit info for a buck when something of more value for $7 or $17 sounds better. I mean $1 sounds more like free, so why bother? Make sense?

Yes it completely makes sense however the $1 trial is only for 7 days then the payment is $67 per month and I would receive 50% commission.

Thanks so much for your comments!

I'm still pretty new at this. In my limited experience so far, I am unable to predict what gets the best total income with any degree of certainty. Since I'm a retired software engineer (among other things) it is easy for me to automate split testing. I'm beginning to split test everything where I have not yet found the wisdom of others to guide me. I'm going to split test the offer, the squeeze page, and the upsell.

The more I learn, the more I learn I need to learn. Oh my!

Got point howard I forgot to mention that you should never stop split testing everything in your sales funnel as you will always find something that works better and have a goal. For example I split tested my membership landing page for 2 years before I reached my goal of a 75% conversion rate! (which is unheard of in internet marketing) Which I am proud of that. It I had stuck with my original page I would only be making 2-3% conversions.

Great point Howard thanks for pointing that out
