Need feedback on 2 sites I'm thiking of selling

Hi there. I have a couple sites I'm looking to sell, but it's been quite a long time since I have sold a site. I thought I would look for some feedback on what I have to see if it's worth my time. I know they won't be worth mega bucks, but I'm looking for a realistic idea of their worth. I tried to provide the important information. Please let me know if there is something missing and I'll do my best to add the info.

SITE 1:

sonicproducerscam.com

Registration Information: I believe the domain was 1st registered for this site in 2/10 and I took over the site on 8/13/10. The domain is currently registered at NameCheap.com.

Basic Overview: The site is a WordPress site built around a ClickBank product. The sole purpose of this site is to gain rankings for certain keywords in order to increase free traffic and sales of the product.

Content: It has 5 articles written with main keywords. The content is 100% unique.

Sales: I've gotten 4 sales at $18.69 each. It's not a high paying product.

Traffic: Traffic is as follows: 346 uniques for Aug (from 8/13), 587 uniques for Sept and 915 uniques for Oct (as of 10/25).

Backlinks: 142 (as of 10/25).

Keyword Information: Here is some keyword ranking info (exact match search volume, US Google rank, US Yahoo rank, US Bing rank).

sonic producer (6600, 9, 10, 10),
sonic music (2900, 1, 4, 4),
sonic producer review (1000, 12, 20, 20),
music sequencer (590, n/a, n/a).

There are a lot of keywords that relate to this product. The right person can take what I've done and do a whole lot more. The traffic has been light, but I think these results show that there is a lot of potential.

Site Promotion: I've done some article promotions and other kinds of promos here in there over the last 6 or 7 weeks. I'm also thinking of adding in a month of promotion as a bonus.

SITE 2:

beginnersauctionguide.com

Registration Information: I registered this site on 3/2/08. The domain is currently registered at NameCheap.com.

Basic Overview: This is a bit of an odd situation. I created a beginner's selling video and ebook course back in 2008 for this site. I updated it a few times but not in quite a while. I would not suggest that the new owner of the site use my product, but would instead have to create new videos and revamp the ebook or put something completely different up. Actually, I'm almost certain I have a couple of ebook related PLR products that I could include in the sale to help the new owner. As an idea, I would suggest to turn this into a Worpress site, develop targeted content and promote the site. I think this would help in increasing the traffic.

Content: All this content I mentioned above is 100% unique.

Sales: I've gotten 58 sales for a total of $624.80, all through ClickBank.com.

Traffic: Here is the traffic for the last 6 months. I have traffic information back through Dec 2008. 436 uniques for May, 345 uniques for June, 393 uniques for July, 375 uniques for Aug, 731 uniques for Sept, and 1080 uniques for Oct (as of 10/25). My best month April 2009 when I got 3,569 uniques.

Backlinks: 1 (as of 10/25).

Keyword Information: I don't currently have any keyword ranking information for this site. There are a lot of keywords that relate to this product. The right person can take what I've done and do a whole lot more. The traffic has been light, but I think these results show that there is a lot of potential.

Site Promotion: I've done some article promotions and PPV promotion over the last couple months. I'm also thinking of adding in a month of promotion as a bonus.

I actually have other sites too, and I really need to earn some cash. My job contract ended last week and I have a 2-month old. Getting the feedback of some seasoned marketers will go a long way to helping me in achieving my goals! Thanks!!

Cherman, why not nip over to Flippa.com and do a bit of quick comparison research to see if there are some similar sites and what they are going for. That should give you some sort of ball park figure.

        Wolster,

Thanks. I guess I will probably have to, as I haven't gotten any feedback so far. I figured there were so many people here that there would have to be some that have good experience at selling sites. I just don't want to waste my time if I don't have anything worth selling.

Anyone else want to chime in on the value? I'll give it another shot.

        Thanks!

By the way all, this is a legitimate post. I'm not sleazy enough to post something like this to try and sell my sites by bypassing the rules. Besides, you guys are not that stupid.

          To your success!

There are many comparison tools available on Google..Flippa being one of them.

But they don't provide free exposure, and - hopefully- a private message with an offer to buy the sites...

Valuing sites is a bit of a minefield ... Whatever I say, there'll be someone else who will say something different.

    Okay ...

Earnings. You can value a site on it's earnings, generally anything between 10 to 18 months. So a site earning $100 a month would be worth $1000 to $1800 ...

Position ... You can add value ($) if your site is high in the search rankings. How much? Well it's the buyer who will decide, but it's something to point out on the sales pitch.

Unique product ... don't play it down. Yes be honest, but don't put the product down - uniqueness adds more value ($). Instead you can offer to update the product.

How much to sell your sites for ... only the market will decide. You could use flippa and set a minimum at the earnings percentage (10-12 months), then let the market decide how much position/uniqueness is worth.

Also, as has been suggested, visit flippa and see if you can find similar sites.

    Good luck,

    Vic

Great advice..... Make an estimation based on this advice and test it on Flippa.
Since you are making sales, the sites are worth something.

Nobody can really tell you how much they will sell for. Just list them and put a reserve on them that you would be comfortable with and see if there is any interest. Since both of them have had some income, they may sell. The second one, since you suggest that the product should be revamped... that may actually hurt a sale, as people generally do not want to have to do any work.

Better still head over to websiteoutlook.com and put your URL in there you should get a rough figure on how much your sites are worth. I'm always using it to value my own sites..
