A very important question regarding amazon associate sales !!

Hey guys i have an associate account with amazon and jst yesterday on yahoo answers some people were asking for halloween suggestions so i took some Halloween dresss from amazon.

I logged into my amazon associate account, clicked on banners and links ,and got text links .But i didnt copy the entire htm.

Example : I took this vampire dress

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UO9WF0?ie=UTF8&tag=myid&linkCode=as2&camp=1789 &creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000UO9WF0">Sexy Female Vampire Costume</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=myid&l=as2&o=1&a=B000UO9WF0" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

and then i only copied this part : http:// http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...SIN=B000UO9WF0

shrinked the url and then posted on yahoo asnwers .Now my answer was choosen as best asnwer by the asker and he said he choose "bumble bee" dress which was one of the suggestions i had given

Now in my account it shows i have so many no of clicks but ordered products are 0.

So my main question is whether amazon is able to track ordered products the way it tracks clicks and pay me when the person orders it ???

Guys please read the post properly and then reply please .

Thank You

You need to have the &tag=myid part in the url in order for it to get tracked to your affiliate id, so looks like you would get credit. Plus if it shows the clicks, then it must be tracking.

Yes, Amazon tracks sales the way it tracks clicks. There may be a small delay if the order needs to be confirmed by a third party seller but usually all sales will show up the next day.
