The Definitive Guide to Awesome Web Content

There's always a huge focus here on WF about ways on building traffic be it through link building, social media, paid traffic or otherwise.

While certainly this does not apply to all business models, I think that simply producing awesome content is generally so overlooked, especially given that since we own websites most of us are all in the publishing business in some way.

Personally I have found it to be incredibly beneficial and influential with my own sites at bringing my sites to 6 figure unique visitors per month.

Producing awesome content is more difficult and requires imagination which puts a lot of people off. However, when you sit down and start researching and writing you will ultimately produce something awesome with practice. I'm certainly not a talented writer yet I have had my content linked to from the mainstream press and top blogs like TechCrunch, Gizmodo, Wired etc.

Anyway, I think this guide is well worth reading for pros and amateur writers alike.

Obviously awesome content doesn't tend to stand up in isolation and it needs to be backed up by solid marketing, including specifically promoting that content to others be it through networking, sending news tips, social media, guest posting etc.

It looks good but it appears to be for pro members only.

Edit: Oh right! I've read in more detail there are some good points about content.

I agree with you that good content is overlooked. Many times IM'ers are just writing content for "search engines" rather for real people. This was a helpful guide on writing good content. Thanks for the share.
