Video Sales Pages Help Please!

I noticed more and more video sales pages on the rise (with the latest being Anik Singal's Empire Formula)

It looks very polished (with words and cool pictures flying around) and I want to give it a go myself.

So is it just of using: Digital camera + Camtasia + Powerpoint + Microphone or do I need something more?

Thanks in advance.

You don't need a digital camera, unless you want to appear in the video.

Just the last 3 are enough.

I would recommend creating the slides first in Powerpoint.

    havent seen his

but your list will get you so far, add some basic lighting and a decent background if you are trying to make it look like a studio, or a hire a cheap photo studio for half a day and it will come with it all thrown in.. In Uk £80 half day minimum.

the very polished ones use adobe after fx which is pricey and hard to learn, you can get some great 3d templates and add your own text but you need the after fx software to use them

just watched one, his background is poor,a kind of dirty colour

but it has a nice pace

easy to do this with any edit software like imovie, final cut, sony vegas, premiere etc

he puts lots of move in the edit to spice it up, layers of text and imports some camtasia work

i need to teach this stuff

In his third video while he's talking , you see is his whiteboard with fancy text and graphics moving around in different directions that AS he is speaking. So eveything seems to fall into place.

So you do first record yourself reading the sales pitch using camtasia, and then ad on the graphics and texts with powerpoint? Because I find some of the animation is quite funky and am not sure if Powerpoint is capable of all of that.

Do let me know - thanks!

all the stuff you need to do what he is doing is free - except for the video camera.

You can also turn blogger blogs into video squeeze pages to test different videos or text. Just put them up and send traffic to them and see which ones convert better.

not sure if I'm watching third

    he's standing against a wall..

record that first allowing for space, then the text is most likely done in the edit software..

    imovie, elements, vegas anything..

just type in text and then apply some transitions which will make the text fly or group together easily , you can adjust position and size so it avoids going over your body, you fit the text to the image

you can create creat videos with the powerpoin - camtasia combination....

I would recommend making the powerpoin presentation in wide screen format> It gives the HD feel and looks great. Be sure to use something other than the "stock" presentations....Make it cool...Play with some animations and designs and have a blast doing it....

That is it.. but further more, you will need a script. Write a script and practice. Have fun with it (the script)
