When's the best time to publish a WSO?

I thought I'd throw it out there. What is your experience in publishing WSOs... when is the best time to publish a new WSO?

    Hi Angii,

That's a tough question. I think the most important thing is to spread out your bumping. When I bump, I try to change the time of days that I do it. One day bump at 4pm EST, and then a few days later at midnight. This way it gets your offer in front of people in different time zones, especially since your offer drops quick.

Well, if someone says the best time...it will no longer be the best time because everyone will post at that time...right?

This question pops up every now and again. I have released WSO's at all hours of the days and probably on 5 out of the 7 days of the week. I can't speak for others but in my experience it hasn't made a vast difference when I released it. If you submit it late at night you will likely stay on the front page for much longer but there are less viewers of the WSO section at that time. "Peak" traffic hours can be great if you have a good offer but you'll be falling down the page faster than you'd like.

You have made a great observation there. I think it pretty much all evens out because of the fact that the rate at which new posts and bumps occur isn't constant. During the peak times, you get a lot more exposure but you don't stay at the top for very long, and this is compensated by longer exposure if you post/bump at an "off-peak" time like later in the evening US time.

There are definitely slower days and faster days, but if you have a good product or service, even the slowest days are very much worth promoting on. I generally just keep my WSO going nonstop to simplify the process. But for the record, for me, Saturday is generally slow, Sunday is generally excellent, Week days are pretty steady.

    Now.

I got really bound up in this question for the last year. I did a lot of research. I found out all kinds of neat things about how people shop and which time zones want to see WSOs at what time.

And you know what? It honestly doesn't make that big a difference. You get the little ego boost from seeing the first flood of sales, sure... but the big point is that a WSO which is approved and sitting there waiting for you to pay the $40 is just a bill. It's not making you anything. It's essentially a debt.

And a WSO you haven't even submitted to be approved isn't just a debt, it's more work you have to do.

What day and time to launch your WSO... it's a detail. It isn't important. When you're ready to make sales, go ahead and launch. Waiting around for the right time isn't going to make you any money.

"When's the best time to publish a WSO?"

    NOW.

As soon as you can get it completed.

STOP analyzing all the details and get it out there.

It's too easy to fall into the trap of paralysis by analysis.

    • Make a good offering.
    • Realize it will NEVER be perfect and there are always things you can do better.
    • Finish it and list it.
    • Promote it like crazy (within the rules).
    • Keep working on the next winner, implementing feedback from the ongoing projects.

    All success.
