Introduction and some question

INTERNET MARKETING

Hey all,

I'm Kian and new to the Forum. I was recommended to this Forum by one of my friend. Started IM about close to 2 months now... have yet to actively participate in any forum and hope to learn more from you guys.

Just some questions to get the best from this Forum. Do all participants search thru individual threads (ie. 25 lists of it!!!) and browse thru it or do we usually search only the thread that we are interested in? Is there anything like categorising it... so that I could navigate better around this Forum?? Hmm...:confused:

Can someone advise so that I could get the BEST out of it?

Hello Kian,

Welcome to the WF, you will love it here.

To answer your question, It's up to you if you want to search through 25 lists of threads or just the ones that interest you.

If you notice on your red navigation bar on the top, there is a search bar where you can use keywords to search a post.

Thanks all for your valueable advise. I'll navigate around and yeah... got to agree with you. that the 'search' button helps alot.

Just a note. I'm actually started in niche marketing and can someone give me some comment cos I've brought the site up live for abt 2 mths now and tried article marketing but could hardly bring in 1-2 subscribers per day.

I'm not too sure it is b'cos of my sales letter not converting or there is just no traffic to my site.:confused:

Could anyone help me out in this matter? Let me know if it's okay for me to post my site here or elsewhere?

IMHO, learn the business of marketing first. Get on every list of everyone. Stay on the ones you like, get off the ones you don't.

Start compiling material on each aspect of your business...website building, hosting, A/R's, merchant accounts, product and most of all...learn how to drive traffic.

Oh yeah. Whenever possible, get on free teleseminars like the one at: www.8WeeksAway.com

Thank for your ideas. It is helpful. I've been on couple of mailing lists and some of your recommendations but sometimes, i got into the "information overload" syndrome and getting more confused.

But... i'll be more selective the next time.

Hi Kian, welcome! you can search the threads using the search feature just to read those topics you are interested in, for example blogging and so on.

Then when you feel you have learnt enough, feel free to contribute to the thread on what you learn.

In this way, you learn faster

Thanks semmyw, I am learning as well and we learn from one another.

Focus on ONE, say blogging and read all about me. Be the master of blogging niche rather than only know a little of everything.

Position yourself well cos IM niche is too wide.

Secondly, pick one thing to concentrate on and make that work
for you. There is just waaaay toooo much information out there
and as a newbie you will be pulled and shoved from post to post.

Hello Kian,

Welcome to WF...this place absolutely rules.

For this forum, I'd suggest coming up with a plan for how you want to look at it. I'll give you an example. When I came here and became active, I wanted to get questions answered but also contribute to people who were new like we all were at one point.

So I said, right now I can help people who feel overwhelmed and share my experience getting out of that stage. Thats my contribution. Then I got the questions answered that I had while building my business. I liked to keep it 4 posts of someone else's then 1 of mine. Always try to give more to this forum than you take and you'll do well here.

Now you might think "I don't know anything so how can I contribute?" Many people here enjoy helping. Your contribution could be providing people the chance to give back to this forum. This place really is magic and people come out of the woodwork to help when they notice you after a while. I have met EVERYONE in IM that I work with via this forum or some other place that indirectly relates to this.

For a more practical way of looking at this forum, read the first 5 pages of this place and pick out a post that you are interested in. Read it, post a question or thought, then move to the next page. Also, feel free to post a "stupid" question (the only stupid question is the one you don't ask)...some people hate it here but most are sympathetic to your plight as a newbie.

Lastly, feel free to add me as a friend on here, message me, or otherwise network. I'd love to help you if I can!

Hi All,

My name is Grant Wilson, been a Network marketer for
7 years now, I am from Adelaide with in Australia.
I have been slowly branding myself online.

Considering this thread is open with the topic that
I wanted I thought i would use this one.

I am new to the Warrior Forum but not new to Forums.

This question might sound strange I have access to a
Universal Marketing system that i know will appeal to
all network Marketers. Which thread would be suitable to

Grant, in case you don't find any suitable thread to post your knowledge about network marketing then feel free to post a new thread.
In fact I would recommend posting a new thread since I don't think there is any thread about network marketing in the first 4 pages.

I can not speak for everyone in this regard, but I personally sift through the first few pages of the forum looking first for things that catch my eye.
Then I go back and look for anything that looks like I might be able to help in the context of the thread's topic.
Then, if I have time after all that and following up on hot topics, I sift back through the list again.

Things here at the Warrior Forum move fast.

If you think it's tough going through this many threads, realize that the Warrior Forum just underwent a substantial software change and started with zero posts on August 6, 2008. (The old forum is still available at The Warrior Forum )

If you are looking for any particular kinds of help, you should look to the search functions here and on the old forum first.

If you can't find what you're looking for, or it just isn't clear. Please feel free to ask questions. The better out explain what you need help with, of course, the better prepared most users will be to answer and generally the better the answers you will receive.
