Each Step Does NOT Exist In A Vacuum

I am really going to try to make this a short one. I promise.

When going through the steps of building our business, we tend to look at
each step as being isolated and utilizing a certain skill. But this can't be
farther from the truth.

Let's take the step of business planning.

Most people think of business planning as deciding what you're going to sell,
how you're going to sell it, how much you're going to spend each month, how
much you want to make, and so on.

But there are things involved with planning your business that encompass
other skills that we normally don't think of during the business planning stage.

For example, a basic part of the business planning stage is deciding what
business we want to get into, right? We either decide on an interest we
have or maybe we tackle something hot online.

In order to choose this business, if you're going to do it wisely, you're
going to need to do some research, mainly keyword research. Well, this
is a skill that most people don't really associate with the business planning
stage. They look at this as something you do to figure out what keywords
to use for your article, blog, or whatever. But before you even get to
that stage, you better know if your chosen niche has anybody even
searching for it in the first place.

And this is just one example of a skill that is used in many areas.

Surveying could be used during the business planning stage or long after
your business is established to determine what additional products your
target market might be interested in.

So don't think that each stage of your business is isolated unto itself
without any dependence on skills and tools that you might not think of
using until much later on.
