Google list an internal page of my site, can I force it to list main page?

It is my first try to do a web site. After one week and more, I finally have my web site listed on the first page in Google for some targeted keywords...

But in the Google search result, I can only see an internal page of my web site. Do any body know, can I make it show my main page instead of an internal page? And for the description listed in the Google search result, I suppose I cannot control it, right?

Thank you.

Google only ranks pages, not the site. Appearently they like that page over your main page for those keywords.

You can control the description Google displays. Just make sure when you change it you don't dismantle the SEO that got the page ranked in the first place.

      Just be patient...

That happened to a new site I put up a few months ago. After one week Google listed my "Terms of Use" page but not my main page. I have no clue why.

About a week or so later the main page finally popped up along with all my other pages. Sometimes it just takes Google a while. At least that's been my experience.

      Hope this helped
