How Do I Add Tracking Codes As A Merchant On Clickbank?

Hey folks.

I have a new product on Clickbank, but I'm not sure how to have links to my site with tracking codes so I know where my hits come from.

This is easy as an affiliate, as you just add a tracking code, but what can you do as a merchant?

Are you allowed to become your own affiliate? Do you lose money in any way by doing that? Supposedly if you're your own affiliate on Clickbank you'd save on merchant expenses, so I assume this isn't allowed?

    Well I've converted some of my articles into Ebooks, which I'd like to post on Ebook directories to increase my site's traffic. When someone downloads one of my Ebooks and uses the link from the ebook to go to my site, Google Analytics would perhaps class that as a direct visit. There's no way it could tell which Ebook the visitor came from.
