Recycling Leftover Spam

While getting ready to slash and burn the contents of the spam folder in one of my gmail accounts, it occurred to me. . .

I wonder if there is actually something worthwhile in any of them.

I took a few minutes to open a few and thought to myself, hey. . . self, this might be a good way to discover hot niches.

Now i'm not talking about your garden variety spam, I'm talking about the good stuff, (if there is such a thing) coming from serious black hat spam marketers.

If I see two or three offers from different sources working the same niche, it just might be worth investigating. I ran a few through Google KT and KeywordEye and found traffic. Kind of like leftover meatloaf.

It won't replace pulse or Amazon but it couldn't hurt.

    I'm all for recycling spam.

So what I do is spam them back. I have a special list for them. Not one has unsubscribed. They are really loyal subscribers.

How do you know the email address you're spamming is the spammer?

I mean, most of my spam comes "from" either me or one of my friends.

The spam I spam, really is spam?! As in it contains nonsense and the same email is sent repeatedly from various addresses. That's what I call spam.

An email that contains something I may not be interested in, but still contains actual written content, is not what I call spam.

So I wouldn't consider you or one of your friends to be spammers.

CDarklock was refering to the fact that in many of the spam mails you're getting, the "from" address either says "me" or "[some of my friends' name]". Therefore, spamming back would certainly be a bad idea.

Apart from that, even if you had the email of the guy who spammed you, spamming back would be senseless since he wouldn't be reading it anyway.

Of course they wouldn't be reading it! The spam emails aren't even sent by a human they are doing the bounce rounds.

I'm not spamming back from an email account anyway. Good grief.

Blimey....it's a nonsense. There is no depth. It's shallow and means absolutely nothing. It just amuses me on a minor level. Not huge guffaws just minor haha's. Good grief.

Please explain in detail and at length why you do any trivial thing for your own petty amusement......should be an exam question.

Or is this the thing that you do for your own petty amusement........baiting nonsensical posts?

Gee, from where I was sitting, it looked like it meant you built a prospect list out of your spam folder.

But that was when I thought you had actually done this and knew what you were saying.

  • Not sure what kind of spam you're refering to, but the stuff I get is either about joining affiliate network xyz or buying v1a_gra 0nl1n3.
