    Hey Kevin,
Youtube will "Feature" Your video if certain conditions are met, the most important of which are views, comments, and links to you're video. The best way to achieve two of these and inadvertantly the third is a strong blog and forum commenting/backlink campaign. I reccomend outsourcing this overseas as its much cheper and you can get great results. What will this do? Well, first it will create lots of links to the video, and second the blog and forum comments will help drive the traffic and hopefull comments. The key things to remember i will outline below.

    1. Relevant and helpfull comments - When managing your outsourced team, make sure they know what youre video is about and how it will help the people they are trying to reach. If they know what theyre doing, they will create relevant, insightfull and helpfull comments that link back to youre video with backlinks that include anchor text.
    2. Make sure that links are from PR Rated websites that are relevant to youre video.
    3. Make sure youre video is worthy of comments and views in the first place
    4. Optimize youre video to reflect the anchor text you are using in youre links. Do this in addition to making sure you title youre video with the keywords you feel best reflect youre video and its message.
    5. Create 300-500 such backlinks to get youre video really noticed.
    Hope this helps!

      Yup well said.

A strategy that has worked for me was, asking your blog readrs to leave comments on your videos, or even in your video ask to leave comments. If you are teaching something in your video, run a mini contest in your video where if they leave comments on something specific you can give them a free 30 min over the phone consult or something.

And yea for link building I have just used article marketing and outsource blog and forum posting

Great post about relevancy of the backlinks, and how it ties in with the video. Way too many people are just blindly building backlinks without any concern about whether all the pieces of the relevancy puzzle fit in, and you've just described precisely how to a build a well-engineered and powerful backlinking campaign.

This does not just apply to video, but also backlinking to your blog or website. The backlinking has to be relevant and make sense, the quality of the backlinks and how it relates to your blog, website or video is far more important than the quantity!

        Hi Guys
Not so sure about the relevancy ,a lot of niches on the top of google dont have enough so called relevant sites to get backlinks from, so does that mean every one will be number one - I dont think so ,the number one, if you check, will have many links from not so relevant sites.
So for my money this is another old wives tale.

        Regards
        Graeme

I totally agree to what he said.... links are whats important with videos....overtime, your views will increase....why don't you also try to embed your video to some of your blogs if ever you have one.....

Thanks! Is it worth just posting one a day under different topics and keywords along with following the other advice in this thread? It is important to put all keywords, and video title in your text also correct?

It takes quite some time before you can earn feedback. It is important that you provide enough detail for your video, like interesting title with of course keyword on it. You must also link it to high PR site, because it it the link that counts the most.

I use youtube a lot but not for video marketing. I gained 300 views for doing nothing. Youtube videos gets indexed and I think that can help you to gain views.

    Do a little research:

There are services out there, that send only 100% safe Real Human traffic to your video (no risk of being banned)! YouTube upgraded their system and now they ban user's accounts who use fake traffic (bots, proxy) to increase video views. They guarantee that you won't be banned using their service as it is REAL and SAFE!
