I don't want the NAME but only the e-mail on my web form. How do i create one?

Hello there..

I've been using getresponse for my e-mail marketing effort but the thing is that the web form for can't be edited to ask for the e-mail only from visitors as it requires the name as well.

So my question is, how do I create a web form that looks like the following image?

Any specific autoresponder company that you'd recommend for this method?

Thanks

You can easily do this with AWeber.

I am not familiar with the new Getresponse (I used the old one and this technique worked), but I believe you can edit out in HTML the code for the "name" field without Getresponse complaining that you don't have a name.

If it would require a value in the "name" field, then you have to make the field a hidden field with a standard value in it. A hidden field is a field where you put a value into the code, it doesn't get a value from a user filiing the form.

But I don't think you will need it. Just go to the HTML form code and delete the reference to the "name" field.

    Hey MARCO

I had tried doing so by deleting the reference to the "name" field as you said but getresponse still won't allow me to create my form.

    Thanks

You shall create the form WITH the "name" field and THEN delete it and any reference of it in the HTML code.

So Getresponse will still have a database with 2 fields but only one (email) will be filled.

As I said it could be that Getresponse complains it doesn't get anything in the name but I doubt so. Just editing out the relevant code in the HTML form should work.

If it needs a name then you could do the hidden field trick, but I don't think you will need it.
