Starting from scratch

Hello fellow Warriors,

let me tell you a bit about myself. I've been working online and somewhat offline for one international company for the past 3 years. They are working as an affiliates for various company's and I am in charge of managing website for my-country-speaking customers through CMS, forum, various forms of promotional activities etc. Their main source of income is CPA.

During all these years, I've learned much about internet marketing, SEO, web & graphic design...even coaching. And now the website I am managing is the most visited website in my country for this niche. The only problem is - they have the licence, so its basicly their website. They do not appreciate my efforts, thus my sallary is pretty low.

Having said that, I would like to expand my monthly income via my own projects. I've spent a lot of time reading this forum past few weeks and I have to say I am impressed. Thanks a lot lads! While reading these threads, I saw one where the guy apparently makes $2k / day. Let me make this clear - I am not looking to earn $2k / day. I want to earn $2k / month !!

This is the part where I need your advice.

Considering my experience (or lack of one), where should I start? I am ready to work hard for months, because I can barely afford anything to invest (maybe $100 / month). This niche is HUGE, but NOT in my country, so I am going for international audience. Basically, I was thinking of setting up a domain with a WP, starting from there. Now, the big question - what method should I use? Ad sense? Ad networks ? If so, shall I build up my page and attract modern number of visitors before I apply for Ad network? How to I find out which networks sell products for my niche? I never joined one.

Any advice or thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated.

    I'd say start here:

This is the model I'd use if I were starting from scratch.

EDIT: Dammit, I forgot that was a War Room thread. Head over to websiteflopping.com instead. Sorry about that.

Is this a niche where people BUY information products in online?

If so I recommend this: start your own website,
put up a squeeze page to build your list
drive traffic to it using all methods of marketing you know
start a blog to drive more traffic
promote products as an affiliate to your new list
create your own product in that niche

and if this niche is not a great niche where people spend money on a lot of information products just choose a better niche.

btw that's the advice I would give anyone looking to get started..
There are many ways to make money online but that's a proven business model
that builds on itself, the bigger your list the more leverage you gain in the marketplace
so start building a list immediately!

    Thanks for the replies!

I am not really sure if this niche can be characterized as information product, but I guess I can make it one for my micro niche.

Would you mind telling me what do you mean by "building my list" ? List of what?

    Sorry for noobish questions!

One of the best advices for anyone is to start out affiliate marketing - clickbank, amazon, cj etc. Work on your interests and hobbies that have a relatively huge market. Then work from there onwards to rank, profit and replicate.
