Landing Page Dilema

INTERNET MARKETING

I really need some guidance here please. I am starting my first affiliiate campaign and am trying to create a landing page with an email opt-in that will send vistors to the affiliate offer.

I have the text I want to use for my landing page on a word doc and was told to convert that to an html page, then Aweber will provide me some code to insert.

When I convert the word doc to an html page it completly changes the format, and when I print this newly converted html page it doesn,t even come close to the correct formatting.

I have to believe there's a better way to accomplish what I thought would be a pretty strightforward task, but I'm really getting hung up on this and would "Greatly" appreciate some help with this.

Hey Bill

Welcome to the world of online marketing.

You've learned rule #1 quite quickly - never use Word for HTML pages.

Get a real HTML editor - Kompozer is a good free one. Google it.

  A great html editor is nvu.com you can download it for free. All you need to do is type your text and then it does it all for ya!

Alternative solutions:
- learn a little HTML (will help you if you plan to stick to Internet Marketing)
- modify an existing Squeeze Page

nVu is free, but the code is not as clean as it could be. It's good though if you want something tonight.

Hey Bill! Don't convert your word document to html. It sucks!

If you need any help with your squeeze page, let me know and I'll be happy to assist you personally.

Like the warriors above mentioned, you can use an html editor instead like Komposer or Nvu to get it done. However, you need some practice in order to understand how they work. Also, you could try learning some html, but that will take you more time.

  Why not use Wordpress instead of trying to get to grips with an HTML editor? If you are comfortable with Word, you will feel right at home using the Wordpress editor.

  If you're using Aweber, create your form using the form creator and use the Java snippet rather than the raw HTML.
  
  Embed the snippet into your web page using a free HTML editor like NVU or Kompozer (same thing repackaged). If you can afford Dreamweaver, then great as you can edit web pages and FTP all from one place.

I'm not great with HTML but you can get some really good free squeeze templates (including some in the WSO section) that can be modified.

And as mentioned already - use NVU or Kompozer (I believe Kompozer is more up-to-date and that NVU is the older, not updated version).
