Hey guys,

I'm looking to upload some videos, up until now I've tended to use things like youtube or vimeo but now I'm looking for something a little better/more professional looking, preferably free, anything anybody can recommend?

Thanks guys

I think screencast is pretty good using Jing software. Also I think Camtasia has their own submission platform. I might be wrong.

If you don't want to spend any money, you could use FlowPlayer or JW Player and host them with Amazon S3. Amazon S3 will cost literally a few bucks a month.

If you can invest some money, Josh Bartlett's Easy Video Player 2 looks an awesome product. Mike Filsaime and Chris Farrell used it in their recent launch.

This is the solution I'd probably go for, if youtube, vimeo or other platforms doesn't look professional enough or if you need the content to be available to only some visitors or customers. I don't know about what Vimeo but accepting payments or making people opt-in to a list in exchange for a video is against Youtube TOS.

I use JW Player with Amazon s3

I believe JW Player has a free license, the only thing with that is that it has the JW Player watermark at the bottom left corner. But it doesn't look bad and still looks professional if you need free.

Thanks Simon, I was on the Flow Player's website and assumed that since there we're licenses available for sale that if you we're using the player on sales pages ets that you'd have to pay for one of the licenses.

Where abouts on their site did you read up on?

            Cheers

screencast just does the screen capture, but is hosted through jing correct?

Are all of these different or similar in what they do and carry out:

    videopress by wordpress
    easyvideoplayer
    flowplayer
    jvpress
    optimizepress

or do the last two only take care of the squeeze and sales funnel but not creating video etc?

how about easyvideoplayer, jvpress, optimizepress, flowplayer, videopress and wpsalesengine or are they all different somehow?

I'm looking for something that can help me

    - create video
    - host it
    - build squeeze pages and sales funnels

    Do I need several solutions?

    Thanks

Oh no Kajabi affiliate links or referrals please!

I think it is best to use different solutions.

For playing video on Website I use S3FlowShield (uses JWPlayer or any other you want).
For Hosting I use Amazon S3 (Can host on your own website also).
Building Squeeze Pages I would look at Wordpress and the above.

One solution I have used in the past is CamStudioPro. With it you can capture your screen ( still use it for this). Save the file in different formats and resolution and it will also set up a squeeze page (HTML i think) for you. Different templates. - Hosting is as above.

      Hope that helps.

JWplayer is the most professional video player for me. Most of the WSOs I download has their videos in JWplayer.

I do not think JW player is free for commercial usage. The basic version comes with a $89/per site commercial license.

I've seen the JW Player and Flow Player on peoples internet marketing blogs and they still have the watermark meaning that they havn't got a license. Is a license not needed for IM blogs (with affiliate links, ads etc.)?

      Cheers

  • vladmm I was just looking at this on their respective websites. Flow player seems to be allowed to be used for commercial use no matter what level you get but the free one has the watermark. JW player seems to only allow commercial use once you buy the pro version.

Hope that clears it up for you.

I have and use easy video player 2, and I love it. Once you follow their excellent instructional videos and have it all set up uploading and workig with your videos is so simple. In fact you do not need to log into your s3 account as it is all done from inside of evp2.

To create videos: PowerPoint 2010 and Camtasia (if you use a PC)
    To host videos: Amazon S3
To play videos: Easy Video Player 2

With PP 2010, you can get really cool templates (many with animation built in) and can output the presentation as a video.

Camtasia lets you import the PP video and add audio/music and other elements like overlays and lower thirds.

Amazon S3 is super cheap storage space and your videos will load faster for your viewers.

Easy Video Player has a very easy-to-use admin dashboard to upload the videos to S3 and customize the player. You can even configure button overlays, watermarks, security, social media sharing and much more.

    Hope that helps you somewhat...
